Just reacting over the massive amount of Jessy Mendiola stuff that's come out lately. From her role as the Filipina version of Thalia's "Maria Mercedes" to her cover appearance for Esquire. Ladies and Gentlemen, Jessy.
Yeah so let's just call this the JESSY MENDIOLA IS A GODDESS megeapost. Mostly because, well, she is a goddess.
As an added bonus, here's her video for Esquire's Fiction Month issue:
Two other covers have appeared for the Men's magazine wars for June 2013. We've already seen Jennylyn Mercado for FHM Philippines now here's Neneng B herself Sam Pinto for Esquire.
Did anybody notice that it's pretty much the same as the Ryza Cenon cover from FHM? Or maybe that's just me. Over in the more racier territory, here's Mocha Girl and former EB Babe Mae Dela Cerna posing in her birthday suit for Playboy Philippines.
Esquire's cover features a slightly 'shopped Heart Evangelista in the cover with a tanktop with the words "Vote".
I really don't see any reason why they had to shop Ms. Evangelista any further as she looks beautiful on her own. As my sister pointed out, her appearing in a men's magazine is also as timely as can be especially since her dear boyfriend, Senator Chiz Escudero is currently running for a seat at the Philippine senate. I'm betting that if Sen. Chiz wins, he's going to have to thank Heart for parts of it. Things are really looking up for May as we have Ryza Cenon for FHM and Heart for Esquire. Wonder what Playboy Philippines is cooking up for their May issue.
Solenn Heusaff should be getting more media mileage with her cover appearance for Esquire Philippines in all her un-covered glory.
She's also been called as the "Sexiest Woman Alive" by the magazine. What they're basis is, I have no clue. She is still so nice to look at though. Except for those tats which I do not find sexy. Not one bit.
Returning young actress Andi Eigenmann shows her sexy side as she poses for the cover of Esquire Philippines.
Again major props to the guys at Summit Media for bringing us a classy looking magazine even with a semi-nekkid Andi poses naughtily on the cover page.
The June 2012 cover for Esquire Philippines featured actor John Lloyd Cruz in the cover. Yeah it might look great and classy and all but I can certainly say that its not "original".
You see the US version of Esquire also had the same cover featuring the iconic Robert Downey Jr. (aka Tony Stark aka Sherlock Holmes). This magazine was dated May 2012.
Same pose? Check! Same suit? Not so much! Same cover font? Kinda. Sexy girl on the bottom? John Lloyd has got the edge on that.
I'm not bashing Esquire. Mind you I like Esquire. I just feel like its too early for them to go and do a cover that was only done a month prior. Also before I get lectured on brand or image retention, I do get that. I guess what really gets me about the cover for Esquire Philippines is the fact that the RDJ cover was still "fresh". Don't you think it would be a good idea to let the heat from the US cover simmer down a bit before releasing a similar cover?
Props to Esquire for the phot, "Spider-Dan" Dan Ramon Geromo and JP Cuison for the images and reminders about the mechanics of publishing.
Also, wow! Sam Pinto in a bikini again? That's hawt!
