ABS-CBN Can Bring Back Palibasa Lalake Now

If you haven't been watching TV lately, you've probably missed out on the news that some GMA 7 talents have returned to ABS-CBN namely Richard Gomez, Joey Marquez and Carmina Villaroel.

This made me realize that we might be seeing the return of something here. Something primetime Pinoy TV has been missing for years now ever since the dawn of the telenovelas and those damn pesky Koreanovelas and that has got to be primetime sitcoms and that something is the 90s TV show Palibhasa Lalake.

I'm calling this now, Bring back "PL" back on TV and give us guys some slack. For crying out loud, we really can't watch too many telenovelas. Give us something to look forward when we get home. Give us something to laugh about.

If you think about it, the station already has three of the main stars for the TV show namely Goma, Chong and Happy Yipee Yehey host John Estrada.

Plus you also have to consider that two of the three Gwapings are on Channel two - Jomari Yllana and Eric Frustoso (who was last seen in the TV series, i totally dug for the sex and intrigue, Nasaan ka Elisa).

Oh but the agony, GMA still has Marc Anthony Fernandez, Gloria Romero and Anjo Yllana. But that could easily be remedied as the Kapamilyas can easily chuck in some of their more veteran comedic actors to take their place. PLUS, you might have forgotten (and this is Pinoy TV trivia for you guys) that Jao Mapa was unofficially a "gwaping", seeing that the sibling of Pedicab's Diego Mapa has no contract with any network, they might want to tap the actor to appear on this sitcom...

Oh and since there are a lot of "untapped" sexy models out there thanks to FHM, there won't be any lack of sex appeal in this new revamp.

Heck I can even create a scenario for the pilot. They all fail or suck at whatever they do and they return to their old home in the city. The house would now be run by Carmina (seeing that Gloria is MIA as well as Tikboy together with Cynthia Patag). The boys now have to run a new boarding house. Blah blah blah and you have a setup for a sitcom.
