GreatToys Online Opens New Store in Annapolis

Was fortunate enough to be invited to the blogger event for GreatToysOnline's new "mega-store" in Annapolis.

So I've seen the new store and it looks pretty and is very spacious. I've been to the Festival Mall branch as well as the one in Greenhills and in Taft and so far this new store in Annapolis has got to be the biggest.

 

The good news is that all the stuff from the other branches of GreatToysOnline that we've all come to love is present in the new store. So whether you're in to Gunpla or you're more of a Hot Toys collector, there's certainly something there for you. 

We got to the venue at around 7-ish and we witnessed GreatToysOnline head honcho Malvin showing his new acquisition - original animation cells for Votes V and Daimos.

Truth be told seeing this made up half my evening. It's really kick ass.

Told you I was like a kid in the candy shop. Only the candy shop was twice as big and twice as large as a conventional candy/toy store. The event was also a mish-mash of the who's who in the local popculture blogging scene including the guys from Back2Gaming and Jori's Entertainment Portal and more.

It was actually a fun night and a good time to discuss about toys and other pop-culture stuff. Food, drinks, some great people, plus one not so much one, were recipes for a truly good evening.

Malvin also took out a classic Mazinger Z figure making it an unboxing session of sorts. We took a photo of just how much the figure weighed... Too bad there wasn't too much articulation for the figure. Here's another photo of the same Mazinger Z figure with my friend Romy.

So what should you expect upon stepping inside the new Greattoysonline shop in Annapolis? The place has a great selection of action figures from DC Direct, Hot Toys, NECA, Sideshow and Kotobukiya.

Dinner, drinks, delicious food and lively discussions on toys amidst familiar anime songs was just the kicker for this 'great' event. No pun intended.

A really good combination, action figures and chicken with coke.

I really recommend you visit the new GreatToysOnline store guys. They have lots of great stuff at good prices with very accommodating staff to answer your questions.
