Daniel Acuña Onboard Uncanny Avengers's Second Arc

Marvel Comics has announced over at CBR that artist Daniel Acuña will be stepping in as the regular penciller for Uncanny Avengers

Artist John Cassaday will still be working on the book albeit as the cover artist (which isn't a bad thing all things considered).

Kind of weird though because if you read the interview during the Uncanny Avengers roster expansion, you'd notice that they were stating that Cassaday was in it for the long haul. Maybe its come to a point that they really need to have a fall back for the former Astonishing X-Men artist.

Still, Acuña is a pretty good pick. He's got this solid lines and art style mixed with a good dose of great facial expressions for his characters. Check out some of the unlettered pages for Uncanny Avengers # 6 which will be hitting stores March,2013.

Mind the cut though...

According to the interview with Remender the story in # 6 will take place in the 11th Century when the young Thor (now being seen in Jason Aaron's Thor book) encounters a young Apocalypse.

Loved the expression on Loki's face on that panel on top. Kinda makes me miss the guy....
