As usual, spoiler alert:
In this issue, Amanda Waller tries to convince Steve Trevor to form a new League in order to protect Wonder Woman in one form or another. Waller tasks Trevor to train the team and in some new recruits. While discussing each member, readers get to see what each member is doing:
Hawkman - we see him nabbing a mugger. Somethings not right however as Hawkman seemingly bludgeons the perp whom he calls out in his report as a Thanagarian trafficker. Waller and Trevor recruits Hawkman with the promise of amnesty and a full pardon for his crimes.
Katana - readers see Katana busy killing assassins somewhere in Japantown. They recruit her to the JLA with the promise of giving her information about the men who murdered her husband.
Vibe - Vibe is first seen stopping a thief, who happens to have stolen a Snickers bar. Vibe ends up paying for the stolen goods and then we see him talking to his brother... who might be dead. They add him because of his vibrational powers.
Catwoman - Trevor adds in Catwoman to neutralize the threat of Batman. Trevor leverages his knowledge about a second Selina Kyle to drag in the real Selina Kyle into the fold. This might be the reason why we're seeing a cover for JLA with the team seemingly dragging away Catwoman away from something or someone.
Green Arrow - is being tracked down by what looks like android versions of the trinity. Ollie's also injured to the point of being near-death. We also spot him using a completely different identity calling himself the Dark Hunter in order to do some covert ops work.
There's also the looming threat of the super-villains coming into light with Professor Ivo being revealed to be a member of this secret cabal.
