1. Superman and Wonder Woman...
I can already here the Lois-Superman fanboys screaming No the way Darth Vader screamed in Episode III. But I'm putting my money in this pairing for a number of reasons. One is that they're almost on the same power level. Wonder Woman can bench press a car, Superman can do that and more. Bullets bounce off of them. Secondly if you've been following the comic books closely you'll know that they learn from each other which is something that a couple should always do. Thirdly, it just makes sense that their real world counterparts are also dating...
Henry Cavill and Gina Carano
Plus, there's also the fact that there were some neat Pre-New 52 storylines which told stories of Supes and Diana pairing up and having kids. One of the most highlighted stories in recent memory has to be "Kingdom Come" by Mark Waid and Alex Ross.
Though the book has only been running for a few issues now, each issue is chockful of emotion and it also does provide an in-depth analysis on each character. More importantly it shows us that though people are different, when love comes a'callin, everything changes. Unlike Romeo and Juliet however, these two lovers coming from two races at war, won't simply lay down and die as opposed to their archetypes. They'll do whatever it takes to ensure that they survive or at least their child does.
3. Kitty Pryde and Iceman
Kitty Pryde and Bobby are the not-so typical lovers representing the X-Men in this list. Let's see. Kitty's been in a relationship with two mutants throughout her run as a comic book heroine. There's Colossus and Pete Wisdom. Bobby on the other hand is much like his Amazing Spider-Man counterpart Johnny "Human Torch" Storm, always dating a new girl and always getting his heartbroken.
Aside from their common factor of both being mutants and both being the youngest members of their respective batches of X-Men, there's nothing of note about these two. Both when love strikes, even polar opposites can fall. and fall hard is what happens with these two. We first see glimpses of a relationship in the opening arc for "Wolverine and the X-Men" where at the heat of the moment, Bobby kisses Kitty while battling a mad Krakoa and some Frankenstein's monsters to boot.
4. Psylocke and Fantomex
What's so cool and appealing about this couple is they're the most obvious example of the dangerous kind of attraction. Psylocke's still reeling from the 'death' of Archangel when she slept with Fantomex. Fantomex on the other hand was a bit of a sleezeball from the start of Remender's run because he knew that Warren and Betsy were going out and he still wanted a piece of the action. Can't blame this faux French mutant hunting former sentinal. If there had been a teammate that had been prancing around showing her butt and doing all sorts of ninja stuff it would probably take a whole lot of concentration just to look her straight in the eye.
Also the relationship between the two is a bit of a risque from the start because she knew the cons when she decided to joined him in bed before the start of "Otherworld". When Uncanny X-Force ended, we also see the two of them getting a 'happy ending' and then Psylocke goes silent for six months before returning to the spotlight. To know more about what's happened to these two, read the ongoing (and new volume of) Uncanny X-Force...
5. Invincible and Atom Eve
Why the addition of these two? Well simply put, theirs is a relationship that's as normal (or abnormal) as other couples. Atom Eve started out seeing another superhero in Image Comics' "Invincible" universe but later fell in love with the titular half-Viltrumite hero. In one of Mark Grayson's month long voyages around the universe, Eve did something unthinkable before finally finding out that Mark has returned back to Earth. They've resumed their relationship and as of Invincible # 100 we find out this startling discovery...
Yeah, like i said, ever evolving...
