Spoilers for Marvel's Infinity FCBD Issue

The mysterious 'Scanbro' strikes back once again by posting Marvel's Free Comic Book Day 2013 offering entitled 'Infinity' which was written by Jonathan Hickman and art by Jim Cheung weeks ahead of it's supposed release for May 2013.

I've tackled Infinity before and it's only been months since news broke out that this was really happening with Hickman at the helm. Anyway, the spoilers can be found after the cut.

In this Free Comic Book Day issue, we meet the gnarly aliens called the Outriders, with one in particular sent to scour the galaxy for something missing that their master is looking for.

In another part of the cosmos, there are a bunch of aliens talking and posturing and they get threatened by the stronger and more nefarious looking aliens so they would surrender and offer up their tribute to the bad alien's master. After that we cut to the scene where those mean looking critters have returned with tributes to their master.

The slow tease paves the way for a bigger, more menacing moment for the mastermind for this whole fiasco.

I liked the exposition for these panels as it's more akin to Thanos' cameo over in 'The Avengers' movie. Save of course for some changes in the dialogue and pacing.

So what happened to Thanos' Outrider? Well, that alien found it's way to Earth hoping to find something for his/its master.

Verdict: 7/10

Too dragging and too slow. Great moments in some way but I was hoping it'd be more... action-packed especially since it's Jonathan Hickman.

Of course guys, just go and visit your comic stores for this issue. I also have a theory on who Scanbro is but I guess there's another time and place for that.
