More Photos of Tatsuya Fujiwara as Shishio Makoto

Gutten Morgen! Here are two photos featuring Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire villain Shishio Makoto (Tatsuya Fujiwara) wearing his costume and in character. A BTS of sorts.

ANN is running a piece about the intricacies of Shishio's costume and you can very well see that they got it. The short version of the article is that they fabricated a suit based on Fujiwara's dimensions that will make it look like the actor is covered by bandages from head to toe.

And oh shit, there's Maryjun Takahashi once again.

You can read the full article from ANN HERE.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire opens August 1 in Japan.

Maryjun Takahashi for Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire

While we're all busy gawking at the seemingly fateful transition of the Juppongatana to the big screen, we forgot all about our 'pinoy pride' Maryjun Takahashi (cuz we're filled with Pinoy Pride and all and she looks hot as well...) who plays Komagata Yumi, Shishio Makoto's lover.

The sequel to Rurouni Kenshin aka Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire will be coming out August 1. Special thanks to fanboyseo reader/ subscriber and a good friend of mine, Humps for the heads up.

More Casting for Rurouni Kenshin Including Yumi and Cho

Orends Range posted new casting news for the sequels for the live action Rurouni Kenshin currently in pre-production. The movie has added Maryjun Takahashi as Shishio's love Yumi Komagata while Ryosuke Miura (Ankh from Kamen Rider 000) will be playing the role of Cho Sawagejo.

Photos appear courtesy of Orends Range as well...

Update: AnimePH is saying that Maryjun is half-Filipina. Interesting....

The character for Yahiko Myojin has also been recasted. The role was previously played by Taketo Tanaka has been given to Kaito Oyagi. They've also found the movie version of Okina in Min Tanaka...

Now I wonder if we'll ever see the Okina versus Aoshi fight (which was great but sucked because Okina choked). Check out the other casting details by scooting over to Orends Range - http://www.orendsrange.com/2013/08/2014-live-action-rurouni-kenshin-movies_4.html
