Ressha Sentai ToQGer Channels Kylie Minogue's Locomotion for Intro

This month, we start a new train ride with the 38th Super Sentai team from Japan, the Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger or ToQGer. And her to celebrate that is their intro... which is totally 80s and totally CUTE.

Rather than start a new with a catchy intro song, the series uses Kylie Minogue's classic song "The Loco-Motion" and gives it a makeover. Here's the cutesy video if you don't want to believe me.

And for sheer legit-ness, here's the official video from Kylie (who up until this day I still cannot believe played Cammy in the Van Dammer-starred "Street Fighter")

OK ToQGer, you've officially piqued my interest.

First Look at Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger

Here's our first official look at the next super sentai team the Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger

I know Kyoryuger would be ending soon so I was really expecting this news soon. What I wasn't expecting was how ugly the designs are.

Check out the other stuff from the recently released catalogue for first quarter. Seriously, the designs are horrible. We have to thank Rising Sun Tokusatsu and Orends Range for posting these photos.

The mech will be called Tokkyu-Oh which is a combination of five different trains. Damn. Weird, weird, pass.

Blue Bustamante Trailer Now Streaming

OK I'm totally vouching for this upcoming film BLUE BUSTAMANTE by Miko Livelo for a number of reasons. But before I do so, below is the trailer and the poster for the film which stars Joem Bascon as the titular BLUE BUSTAMANTE.

Poster done by the magnificent JP Cuison

I managed to snag a couple of minutes from the film's director Miko Livelo to catch up on the film and some quirks on the new trailer.

According to the film's director, they really wanted to get the legendary Ted Ito to sing "Ikaw Parin" but due to time constraints and other hindrances, it's not possible to do so. That of course paved the way for a more hilarious version (which we both still laugh at) as you can hear at around 00:04 of the trailer.

Seriously, still can't help chuckle at the videoke-esque version they chose. And then seeing BAYAW Jun Sabayton just makes it really something worth seeing.

Altogether now....

S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Gold Preview

One of my favorites from the 37th Super Sentai squad the Kyoryugers happens to be Kyoryu Gold and now he gets a SH Figuarts treatment. Here's a preview.

The Facebook page where I got these pics state the following: The figure will be released Feb. 2014 and has an estimated price of 3,990 Yen

Post by Thefanboyseo.

Really don't care about the price as long as this figure can co-exist with something like the Pteragordon DX figure which was released months earlier.

Again, they're going to release this February 2014 which is like just around the corner already Super Sentai fans!

Kyoryuger Gets a Mechs with PlesOh and TobaSpino

For fans of Kyoryugers, here's an early treat as Jefusion broke out the first look at PlesOn and Tobaspino, two new additions to the dinosaur mechs of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.

Tobaspino will be a movie exclusive mech which is reported to be a repaint of Gabutyra. Looking at the photo however, it seems like it's just Gabutyra as a base as the snout has been extended.

New Hi-Res Scans for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger

Here are more new photos for the 37th Super Sentai team Kyoryuger or Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger....

Super Hero Taisen Z Trailer Now Streaming

Fresh from the success of Super Hero Taisen, TOEI is now streaming the sequel entitled SUPER HERO TAISEN Z which features fancy fights between Kamen Riders and the 37 Super Sentai squads with a neat addition... the metal heroes of old including GAVAN TypeG, SHARIVAN and possibly SHAIDER.

-->

The cool thing about this is that it's a refresher course for people who've missed out on these three franchises. I spotted the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger together with the Tokumei Sentai Gobusters and even Tensou Sentai Goseiger (Power Rangers Megaforce outside of Japan) for Team Sentai. Team Kamen on the other hand prominently features Kamen Rider Wizard whos doing most of the fighting against the new Gavan (Gavan Type G) played by actor Yuma Ishigaki. Also this is going to be a new jumping point for the Kyoryuger.

Super Hero Taisen Z will premiere on April 27, 2013 in Japan.

Funko has released the Power Rangers / Zyurangers Pop Vinyl Figs

I'm currently scouring the Internet for any signs that the Pop Vinyl Power Rangers has already been released. It seems like the three figures (White Ranger, Red Ranger and Pink Ranger) has already been out since November of 2012.

So it seems like this never got enough heat to be ordered. Seeing that the Red Ranger/ Tyranoranger and the White Ranger are cool looking, I might as well invest in importing these.

Let me try ordering from the US with the help of our friends from House of Flair.

New Promotional Photo for Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen

A new image for the upcoming Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen movie has been released and it spells epic thanks to the following facts:

• It has a total cast of 485 individuals
• All 50 Kamen Riders from different eras will be making an appearance in this movie...
• All 173 actors wearing the Super Sentai costumes will also be present including both the new Gobusters and the massively popular Gokaigers.
• Fan favorite villains from the different Kamen Rider and Super Sentai series will also rear their ugly heads for Taisen.

The new movie will open on April 21 in Japan.
