New Mystique Still and How It Connects

There's a new X-Men: Days of Future Past still where Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) is seen thrashing a bunch of military types. If you haven't seen it, it's the one below:

I'm not 100% but this scene really reminds me of that photo that showed Alex Summers/ Havok (Lucas Till) hanging around in army fatigues. You can check out said photo HERE

I think, Mystique shows up to save or convince Alex to return to the fold and join the team in order to fight off Trask, the US Government and the Sentinels. But that's just a speculation on my part. Maybe she's there to kill Havok. That could be.

Bryan Singer Leads X-Men: Apocalypse for 2016

Bryan Singer tweeted a juicy tidbit for the X-Men movie-verse with 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse.

Here's the incriminating evidence:

Funny they forgot to mention this back then. Still it's a pretty nice addition to the already growing 20th Century Fox X-Men centric movies. I also heard some new developments for the X-Force movie courtesy of Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld.

A release date of May 27, 2016 joining other Marvel related movies like that untitled Marvel Studios project and Amazing Spider-Man 3. It's so far away so I guess we still should wait for X-Men: Days of Future Past to be released.

X-Men: Days of Future Past Global Trailer Debut Tonight at 9PM

The much anticipated global debut of the full trailer of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” will go live tonight at 9:00pm, Manila time at this link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v108V0Bkgik

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

Bryan Singer, the visionary director who brought us the original X-Men movies, says Days of Future Past will take viewers on an emotional ride. “The stakes are high, not just for the world and the future but also the stakes of some of the characters,” says the director. “Clearly there was enormous fragmentation between the characters that happened at the end of First Class. That left the characters on a certain path. This movie will show you where those paths lead.” (source EW.com)

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” will open nationwide in the Philippines on May 22, 2014 from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

UPDATE: Here's the new trailer:

Empire has released several new stills for 20th Century Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Check them out below:

There's hardly any action in these stills, just a lot of brooding...

At least we end things with a little Jennifer Lawrence in Mystique action.

This is Not Quicksilver. The First Look at Evan Peter's QUICKSILVER

A couple of new photos for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST has surfaced and now it features Bryan Singer's version of the mutant speedster Quicksilver played by Evan Peters.

Soooooo. This is what they've managed to pull off from Magneto's son and twin brother for the Scarlet Witch???

Seriously, that's not Quicksilver... or at least the Quicksilver I knew and grew up with while reading comic books. This is what Quicksilver looks like...

Okay, first off I was thinking that Bryan Singer and the rest of the production people for Days of Future Past would think of at least nailing the speedster's trademark look. Instead we're getting this. a guy with green hair (or what at least we can assume is green hair ala Polaris).

Another reason why this new Quicksilver irks me is the fact that they had to make his mutant powers too obvious by giving him goggles. I mean, sure, it's like important for a speedster to wear goggles while running but it's just too obvious. If they gave Peters something like a tracksuit or leather jacket that would've added more mystique to the character. But then they settled for goggles.

Ultimate Quicksilver

Gonna give them the benefit of the doubt with regards to the hair but could they just get rid of the goggles for pietro's sake, we're looking at a bad ass speedster and not Impulse here...

Ay nako, 20th Century Fox executives, get your act straight. We've had enough of your meddling with the designs for the mutants on the X-Men movies.

New X-Men: Days of Future Past Teaser Focus on Dead Mutant Memorabilia

Okay, I'm twisting your arm a little bit with the dead mutant thing but the new teasers do feature stuff prominently featured in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class.

Can you name all the memorabilia in this photo kids from left to right?

- Lensherr's coin, Sebastian Shaw murder weapon
- Partially burnt Havok uniform
- Magneto's helmet
- and the most morbid of them all, a wing from Angel Salvatorre which means she's already dead.

Really, with all the stuff they've been showing off, I'm already wondering if Bryan Singer's X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST would clock in at 3 hours.

Teaser Poster for X-Men: Days of Future Past Featuring Young and Old Xavier and Magneto

Fresh from SDCC 2013 comes two new posters for Bryan Singer's X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST featuring the old and young version of Magneto and Charles Xavier.

If you're not aware, the young Magneto, as seen in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, was played by Michael Fassbender while the elder Mags was done in the original trilogy by Sir Ian McKellen.

As for Charles Xavier, we've got Patrick Stewart for the older version and James McAvoy (Wanted, Trance) as the younger version.

We have to thank Entertainment Weekly for showing us this amazing teaser poster. That alone will stoke fans who are preparing for the worldwide release next year.

Interestingly enough, McAvoy is definitely sporting the dishiveled look, the same look he was spotted a month or so ago on the set of the film. Are they going to go with that look for the entire film?

Also it seems like the older gentlemen are definitely wearing the battle armor that was seen earlier.

First Look at Sentinels and Bishop for X-Men: Days of Future Past

Arguably one of the hottest reveals/announcements from SDCC 2013 belongs to Marvel's Mighty Mutants particularly, one with strong Filipino roots. Yes folks, here's our first look at Omar Sy as Bishop for Bryan Singer's X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Man, I'm not sure about the red eye but 20th Century Fox nailed him right. Just look at the dreads and the classic "M" on his face (which is basically given as a mark to mutants in the future, just ask X-Factor's Jamie Madrox).

Anyway, if you're wondering where this look for Bishop was based on, wonder no more. That look came from his ongoing: BISHOP: THE LAST X-MAN

Here are the other photos from the new release including Lucas Till as Havok and Nicolas Hoult as Beast and more importantly HUGH JACKMAN as THE WOLVERINE!

I also noticed that for the old timers to the franchise i.e. Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Daniel Cudmore who plays Colossus, battle armor is the general consensus. Though I'm not 100% open to the idea, it does seem to make sense given that there's a full-scale war in the future between Mutants and Man, not to mention they will need added protection when they encounter Sentinels

Speaking of Sentinels, these mutant-killing mechas are also present in this year's San Diego Comic Con. Here's a look at the display which commemorates Bolivar Trask's Sentinel Mark I.
