“Turbo” (in 3D and 2D) is a heart-stopping action adventure with lively characters starring the voices of Ryan Reynolds as Theo/Turbo, Paul Giamatti as Chet, Samuel L. Jackson as Whiplash, Snoop Dogg as Smoove Move, Maya Rudolph as Burn, Ben Schwartz as Skidmark, Mike Bell as White Shadow, Michael Peña as Tito, Luis Guzman as Angelo, Bill Hader as Guy Gagne, Ken Jeong as Kim Ly and Michelle Rodriguez as Paz.
The family film from DreamWorks Animation centers on the engaging crew of snails starting with a garden snail named Turbo who leaves his snail community behind to begin his journey to fulfill his dream of becoming a racer in the Indy 500. Swept from a freeway overpass onto the hood of a sports car, and is then propelled into the muscle car’s air intake valve, Turbo is then charged with explosive nitrous oxide, altering his molecular structure. The freak accident infuses Turbo with incredible speed – he can reach 200 miles per hour – and he now blazes across the streets of Los Angeles like a neon bullet.
Along the way, Turbo and his brother Chet meet new snails who help achieve his dream of joining the Indy 500 race.
Check out “Turbo’s Snail Crew” clip here - http://youtu.be/7OOCo1phfxo
CHET
Turbo’s cautious, protective and supportive brother voiced by multi award winning actor Paul Giamatti. Chet is a snail who is a stick-in-the-mud and do-everything-by-the-rules kind of guy. His philosophy is: “Do not try to leave your shell or do anything risky. ’I am not a risk-taker. I am ‘Mr. Safety’.”
WHIPLASH
The charismatic leader and reigning champ of the Racing Snails voiced by Samuel L. Jackson. A warm jovial guy who treats his crew like family who helps Turbo realize his dream. Whiplash has great inspiring abilities. He's able to rally people around him and to make them think that they're capable of doing things that they ordinarily wouldn't be able to do.
SMOOVE MOVE
The Zen-like, laid back racing snail voiced by multi-platinum artist, actor and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg. A super-cool-low-rider with a blinged-out shell whose motto is derived from what his mamma taught him “Don’t mess with what you’ve been blessed with. I’m S-to-the-M-to-the-double- O-V-E! Wouldn’t change that for the world! Preach.”
BURN
Burn is the only female in the crew voiced by SNL icon Maya Rudolph. A toughie who doesn’t have trouble holding her own amidst the testosterone-fueled, speed-worshipping teammates. Sly and sassy and always chewing gum, Burn hides her soft side under a hard outer shell (adorned with shooting flames).
SKIDMARK
Skidmark or Number 13, this master of skids is voiced by Ben Schwartz. Sentimental and gravity-defiant, his shell is souped-up like a dragster prone to make long skidding noises.
WHITE SHADOW
White Shadow resembles an intriguing cross between Jabba the Hut and Evel Knievel voiced by Mike Bell (a former DreamWorks Animation storyboard artist who initially done the temp voice but the short-term gig became a co-starring voice role due to the perfect voice initially rendered). Full of false bravado and real laughs, White Shadow considers himself to be “fast, like a shadow” – ignoring the fact that shadows aren’t inherently fast. White Shadow prefers to be mysterious and his dream is to have a burrito named after him to be called White Shadorrito.

Despicable Me 2 Review
Here's my take on Despicable Me 2 featuring the voices of Steve Carell, Kristin Wiig, Benjamin Bratt, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand, Ken Jeong and more. The film is directed Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud. Special thanks to Solar-UIP for the invitation.
Despicable Me 2 surpasses the first movie, by how far, maybe by just an inch. The movie sticks to certain elements present in the first movie, then ditches a couple of other stuff and then just throws in a couple of new gears into the cog for good measure.
It's interesting to note that our lead Groo is working under completely different circumstances and not to mention on the opposite side of where he was originally in the first movie. Now he's batting for the side of the angels and it actually spells interesting for me.
Is it just me or does this movie also have one of the lamest and yet campiest villain in all of animated movie history. Yes I'm talking about the movie's main villain, El Macho.
The guy's just friggin awesome. He can do the salsa, rides sharks loaded with missiles and much much more. This is one entertaining dude.
The new movie is a fun movie due to a number of things. There's a charming little love story mixed with a bit of espionage action and a lot of adorable little things. And then there were the minions.
I liked how the story for Despicable Me 2 moved from Groo and Lucy working on the field together as partners to their inevitable falling-in. It might have looked a little too forced for some but kids really won't notice that. They did show a hilariously, horrible date between Groo and a woman who's been set up by Groo's friend which was obviously a plot point to get the two closer. I dig that though.
There's a lot of themes that Despicable Me 2 tries to fit inside it's running time. The old themes of family and a change of heart is still here albeit in a stronger form. Groo isn't the evil genius who simply wants to rule the world, he's now a dad who makes sure his little princesses get everything they want. Or at least, he'll be able to provide for them. Dr. Nefario (played by Brit comedian Russell Brand) also dishes out a couple of quips about family.
But for me the real stars of the show would have to be the minions. The first film gave them a handful of scenes where they really get to shine. This time however, they're the centerpiece. And although we barely understand what they're saying, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw you laughing hard at the antics of these little yellow men. Heck, in this movie, they even go and emulate an old irish pub song. And be prepared for the best rendition of "I Swear".
Overall, don't expect something as heavy hitting as Toy Story 3 because this movie and that movie are polar opposites. Do try to enjoy the visuals, the 3D conversion, the in-jokes and the gags that are present in the movie. Sit back and let the minions entertain you; oh and don't forget the kids.
Verdict: 8.5/10
Special thanks to Solar-UIP for the invitation. DESPICABLE ME 2 opens July 3.

The Hangover Part III Review
Review for The Hangover Part III starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong and more. Directed by Todd Phillips and locally distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines.
So the Wolfpack is officially back for a third comedic romp but what was supposed to be a laugh-a-minute treat suddenly evolved and focused on character development, particularly for Zach Galifianakis' Alan.
The humor is still neatly packed into the third installment but it's not as blatant or crass as it was before. The movie works on a timeframe and as such, there's a certain sense of maturity that will be required as sequels rise from out of nowhere. And this is what it's doing to the characters of The Hangover. Gone are the days when Doug was just a soon-to-be groom or Stu was a some girl's bitch. Sad to say, they've somehow 'grown up', though not for the better

One way or another…it all ends here.

Q & A With 'The Hangover Part III' Director Todd Phillips
Todd Phillips, the writer-director of Warner Bros.' male-oriented comedy “The Hangover Part III” talks about the final chapter of the trilogy in the following interview.
“The Hangover Part III” reunites Phillips with his original cast, led by Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha. This time, there's no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.
Question: When did it occur to you to make a third Hangover movie and, conceptually, where did you want to take it?
Todd Phillips: Well, I think it occurred to us on the second movie that we wanted to make a third movie because, honestly, we just love doing them so much. And people can be cynical and say it’s a money thing or it’s a studio thing, but if you talk to these guys, we love hanging out and doing this movie. We wake up every day and the goal is just to make each other laugh. And we just feel very privileged and lucky that we get to do this. That said, it was very much a goal to make a film that was a departure from the other two and, at the same time, was still aggressively funny and unapologetic in its tone.
That was kind of the goal, and the other goal was to make a movie that felt like part of a trilogy, that tied up the other two movies, and justifies why the other two movies exist. In other words, it doesn’t pretend that the other two movies didn’t happen; it’s because the other two movies happened, if that makes sense.
