Shunya Yamashita Tackles Jubilee and Starfire for Kotobukiya

Expect these two bishoujo statues from Kotobukiya probably next year. For now, lets just oogle at how awesome Shunya Yamashita draws these characters.

I like that they chose a 'happier' moment for Jubilee, particularly that time when she was still a 90s mallrat who later becomes Wolverine's unofficial sidekick.

Although it wouldn't be bad to see a vampire version of the Kotobukiya Bishoujo Jubilee.

And now here's Starfire as rendered by Yamashita.

All I can say is...

And the Next Kotobukiya Bishoujo Statue Is...

... none other than, the queen of the knock'em up fighting games from Capcom's Street Fighter games, Chun-Li.

Sadly that's the only information given by Kotobukiya on their Facebook fanpage. Still the art is terrific. And I really hope they get to do the alternate costume for Chun-Li down the line:

Shunya Yamashita Illustrates Huntress Bishoujo for Kotobukiya

Here's a new art from Shunya Yamashita featuring The Huntress.

Of course we all know that this art would be used for another upcoming DC Comics Bishoujo statue from Kotobukiya

I like the art but I still want to see more of the Jim Lee version of The Huntress which we saw in Batman Hush.

First Look at Kotobukiya DC Comics Bishoujo Harley Quinn

Kotobukiya has revealed a new Bishoujo Statue. Their newest reveals showcases their DC Comics: Harley Quinn Bishoujo Statue.

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! Coming up next in the DC Comics Bishoujo Collection (combining DC’s superheroines and villains with traditional Japanese stylings) is the fan favorite wacky psychologist turned harlequin supervillain, Harley Quinn! First appearing in Batman: the Animated Series and then the pages of DC Comics, Harleen Quinzel was originally a brilliant doctor working with patients at Arkham Asylum before she was seduced by the “clown prince of crime” and became the Joker’s girlfriend and assistant. Her villainous ways have brought her into conflict with Batman many times over the years, and she’s found a good friend in the similarly deranged Poison Ivy. Because of her mental instability and affinity for hilarity, Quinn frequently employs comically oversized weapons like her favorite giant hammer. Based on an original illustration by Japan’s renowned Shunya Yamashita, Harley appears here for the first time in the Japanese Bishoujo (pretty girl) style!

Harley Quinn shows off her silly and violent natures as she poses seductively just for you. Perched on her enormous hammer, the sultry psychotic looks adorable in her trademark black, red, and white harlequin costume that hugs all of her curves. She teases you with her legs straddling the hammer’s shaft, her back arched to maximum effect, and her hand right hand gently stroking the upraised end. Harley’s sculpt is fantastic with careful attention paid to her sexy body, the cloth-like movement of her collar and hood, and the fringes on her wrists. With Quinn's stunning Bishoujo-style face and wonderfully sculpted and painted costume, you won't need to be as crazy as the Joker to want her around.

Constructed of high-quality pvc plastic and standing 10 inches tall (in the ultimate 1/7 scale) on her exclusive hammer base, Harley Quinn was sculpted by Masahiro “Gill Gill” Takahashi. Display Harley on her own or together with other DC Bishoujo statues like Poison Ivy and Batgirl!

Available September 2012.
