New Avengers # 22 - Master Chief lookalikes Arrest the Avengers

New Avengers # 22 shows a weird cameo of sorts featuring Halo star Master Chief who are waiting for the New Avengers to arrive and take them down.

The latest issue is set after the Avengers managed to beat the crazy Thor cyborg known as Ragnarok (which was pretty amazing). The gang returns to Avengers Mansion only to find that it has been overrun by Master Chief looking capekillers.

This is where Master Chief comes in...

Here's another look at these HALO rejects.

So what happens for the rest of the issue is this:


- Wolverine and the rest of the New Avengers get teleported to another place to avoid a clash with authorities (all thanks to Dr. Strange no less). 
- The team tracks down Victoria Hand who reveals herself as a triple agent (a role previously held by Spider-Woman). 
- Viper aka Madame Hydra and Gorgon continue with their own plans behind Norman Osborn's back.
- Osborn tries up his bad-ass powers. 
- Victoria Hand "dies".
- The "New Dark Avengers" make their next move. 


And then this happens...

Yes, apparently, Skaar is the team's inside man. And he gets to shout Avengers Assemble as well beating the crap out of Hawkeye's brother, Bart.


Not sure where this is going but it looks great. Could it be that Marvel is setting up Skaar to join the New Avengers? After all, Ben Grimm aka The Thing is nowhere in sight after "Fear Itself".
