Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo has been working their buts off with the current volume of Batman and does so by starting "Night of Owls".
Rather than starting the crossover with just talking heads, Snyder and company provides an action-packed issue featuring the Court of Owls and an army of Talons invading Wayne Manor.
At the issue's beginning the owls do not know that Batman and Bruce Wayne are one and the same but later on, one of them finds out.
The Talons finally corner Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth in the Batcave's armory where While holed up inside the armory, Alfred checks the information found on the chip embedded on the Talon they killed earlier.
Inside the chip, Alfred is surprised to find out what the contents are:
Yes, the Court of Owls have their own hitlist which includes Commissioner Gordon.
Batman goes out of the armory wearing a wicked looking armor ready to layeth the smack down on his would be assassins waiting outside.
While the caped crusader tangles with the Talons outside, Alfred makes the call for the "Bat family"...
Also pretty sweet art done by Rafael Albuquerque....
