A few days ago there was this teaser from Marvel which featured the word "
Savage" as well as
Frank Cho's name.
Non-fans of Cho's work might say the obvious that it was a
Wolverine project but there's a group of Frank Cho fans (such as myself) that it may have something to do with Cho's early Marvel work called "
Shana the She-Devil"...
Marvel Comics neither confirmed nor denied this, well until of course today when we get our very first look at 'Savage Wolverine # 1...
This'll have an Indiana Jones vibe to it oh and the guy teams up with Shana for the course of the adventure. I actually missed these sort of Wolverine stories. Lately if we're not getting those lanky Dr. Rot stories we're getting AVX or him at the Jean Grey School or X-Force (which isn't a bad thing entirely).
Savage Wolverine starts shipping January 2013.
