Uncanny X-Force # 35 - Guess Who's Back

Fantomex returns in Uncanny X-Force # 35 by Rick Remender and Phil Noto.

So yeah, after Remender shocks us with the seeming death of Fantomex at the hands of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, he's suddenly backed.

In the latest issue, the remaining team members Wolverine, Psylocke, Deadpool and EVA tie-up the one last lose end before calling it quits - dealing with Fantomex.

After providing a tear jerking moment between him and Evan, Deadpool bounces back to his old weird self. Oh and he even goes ahead and does the cloning before EVA can even double check the info.

It's also cute to see that Psylocke goes in for the kill err kiss, after seeing the resurrected Fantomex.

We also find out what would happen when you put Fantomex's three brains into three different bodies. We actually get to see the Jean Phillipe personality become the established badass/anti-hero/former Weapon XIII/mutant hunting sentinel...

And then there's also the female Fantomex who goes by the name of Cluster as in Genesis' Uncle Cluster. She's also set to appear in Sam Humphries' Uncanny X-Force volume 2.

It's also after the departure of the evil Fantomex that the good Fantomex finally learns that it's all over for this incarnation of X-Force as Logan and Deadpool are leaving.
Oh and bonus props for Deadpool hitting on Cluster Fantomex...

Our favorite faux French Grant Morrison creation flies off into the Alps with Betsy to formally introduce Bets to Fantomex's mother who is delighted to meet the mutant psychic ninja.

And just like that Uncanny X-Force ends. The bigger question to ask is whether or not Psylocke just dreamed up all that last part especially if you read Fantomex's last line about imagining a happy ending. I would like to believe that this is real and that the kiss is a start for Fantomex and Psylocke's new relationship as a couple.

Damn, this is such a great book. The benchmark has been set for Sam Humphries and Ron Garney.

Uncanny X-Force # 35 is now out in your local comic stores.
