In this issue Logan and Sue return from New York and goes back to their proper timeline. Emerging from the cave they find out that the Savage Land has become a spaceship graveyard which is pretty weird. They hijack Fury's car which is still where they left it and travel to New York once more.
Back in America their car gets busted and they encounter a team of Avengers who call themselves "The Defenders".
There's a little standoff between the Defenders and the two time miscreants...
The two Wolverines fight, and The Wasp (who apparently becomes the new Captain Marvel with the Nega-bands and all that) takes down Invisible Woman.
When the two stragglers have been knocked out, Tony Stark makes a sudden and grand appearance, with his iron legion.
I also like their play on words here. Anyway, Bleedingcool has a theory that everything got shot to bits thanks to Hank Pym dying and not being able to help out the Avengers during the Kree/Skrull war. It seems obvious that the heroes barely won the right to defend their planet and that it took a lot of sacrifices on their end (such as Captain America losing an eye and Tony Stark looking more like MODOK).
