Looks like we'll finally have a nice slugfest as DC Comics pits their marquee characters, The Justice League against He-man and the rest of his heroic comrades aka the Masters of the Universe in DC Universe vs Masters of the Universe # 1 by Keith Giffen and my friend Dexter Soy.
It was inevitable that at some point, these two epic worlds would collide.
The heroes of the DC Universe will be facing off against He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in an exciting and all-new six-issue miniseries from writer Keith Giffen and artist Dexter Soy!
After narrowly escaping his last battle with He-Man, Skeletor has fled to the most unexpected realm to recover: EARTH! Once there, he sets a plan in motion to siphon off Earth’s core magic. Forging an unlikely hunting party, He-Man and company go in search of Skeletor. Finding themselves at odds with the heroes of the DC Universe, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe must find a way to stop Skeletor and his mysterious new master!
And how will the Masters of the Universe respond to finding themselves within the DC Universe?
“Culture shock lives! Actually, they've come to stop Skeletor from doing to the DCU what he's always wanted to do to Eternia,” Giffen teased. “By the way... what makes you think Skeletor came to the DCU voluntarily?”
Below are the Ed Benes’ covers for the debut issue, one featuring the heroes of the DC Universe, and the other featuring the Masters of the Universe!
DC UNIVERSE VS. THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE #1 arrives in stores on August 28.

She-Ra Turns Traitor in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe # 1 ~ Spoilers
Looks like we won't be seeing She-Ra for a good while especially since her status has changed from being one of the good guys to being her twin brother Adam's main adversary in DC Comics' He-Man and the Masters of the Universe # 1.
In the new book written by Keith Giffen with art by Pop Mhan we find out that She-Ra has gone rogue and now sticks to calling herself Despara (which is kinda neat).
Here's what she looks like now in full battle armor.

New Philip Tan Artworks for DC Comics' He-Man
James Robinson and Philip Tan are working very closely on a new project that will cater specifically to kids of the 80s like me: He-Man or more appropriately known as "Masters of the Universe".
I'm actually a bit excited for this one not because I grew up watching He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (and Thundercats and Tiger Sharks and Visionaries and Transformers) but also because they have Philip Tan onboard the project.
The story is pretty much the same wherein He-Man battles Skeletor but because of the editorial mandate to "introduce He-Man to the younger generation but still keep the older fans happy", we met He-Man while he's in a tight spot. You see all his allies have forgotten about their heroic deeds. To make matters worse (or interesting depending on how you see it) Skeletor also rules Eternia already.

Hopefully Comicxhub (my LCS) gets to order the variant covers as well as the regular stuff.
