John Romita Jr. and Superman Elvis
I'm not yet sold a hundred percent on John Romita Jr. doing Superman with Geoff Johns. Just look at this initial image done by the legendary Marvel artist.
Here's our first look at the Man of Steel as rendered by John Romita Jr.

On Why Superman Isn't Solving Everything including World Hunger
Redditors are upvoting this particular panel from GREEN LANTERN # 149 where Superman is talking with Green Lantern Kyle Rayner.
Solicit: Guest-starring the JLA! Kyle's newfound powers as Ion may be the only thing that can help the JLA stop an alien invasion! But if that's true, why doesn't the JLA approve of what Kyle is doing? Kyle is forced to look at the way his god-like actions are affecting the world around him. If Superman can't convince Kyle to think twice about his world-changing deeds, then who can? Comicvine
*** Up to this day I'm still looking for a collected edition of this story arc, where Kyle first becomes Ion and he's going around and doing lots of good and the JLA had to make an intervention with Superman spewing some sense. ***
The issue was written by Judd Winnick (one of his better runs) and Dale Eaglesham. Here's the first cover.

Warner has Found Its Wonder Woman in Gal Gadot
Fast and Furious 6 actress (and total bombshell) Gal Gadot will be swinging the golden lasso of truth as she has been officially announced to play the role of Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman for Zack Snyder's MAN OF STEEL 2.
“Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.” (Zack Snyder)
C'mon lets admit it, we're a bit disappointed that they didn't cast our choice star but much like how Ben Affleck was cast as Batman there might be something that they've seen in Gadot that we're not seeing. I hear that she also beat out Elodie Yung and Olga Kurylenko for the role.
Plus she can totally kick our collective fanboy asses as she's a trained military personel.
Gina Carano might not have been picked as Wonder Woman but I'm happy with this casting news.

That Variant Cover for Superman/Wonder Woman # 3 Proves That
... sex in space is possible. But it will require either parentage from Greek pantheon or genetics from a dead alien race to actually pull it off.
Yes folks, DC Comics will be releasing this variant cover to Superman/Wonder Woman # 3 which looks like the Man of Steel and the Amazonian Princess just did the horizontal mambo in space. Cover is done rather tastefully by one of my favorite artists, Guillem March.
Here's the entirety of the cover.
A bit fanservice-y aint it? Also, the solicit.
SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN #3
Written by CHARLES SOULE
Art and cover by TONY S. DANIEL and BATT
1:25 Variant cover by GUILLEM MARCH
1:100 B&W Variant cover by TONY S. DANIEL and BATT
On sale DECEMBER 11 • 32 pg, FC, $3.99 US • RATED T
Combo pack edition: $4.99 US
Retailers: This issue will ship with four covers. Please see the order form for details.
The way I see it, people are polarized by the book, some loving it others be hatin' (I'm with the former though) especially after seeing Superman kinda beating up Diana's brother Apollo. Still, it offers a great read with some of the best panels and splash pages done by artist Tony S. Daniels in years.

Superman Beats up a Sun God - Superman/Wonder Woman # 2 Spoilers
I like Superman/Wonder Woman as a series because its a friggin' new element. It's a New 52 book which does what the New 52 intended to do, bring new stuff into the table. It does that with much gusto and with so much promise thanks to the characters and rogues from both the Superman and Wonder Woman books. Case in point Superman/Wonder Woman # 2.
The book is written by Charles Soule with art by Tony Daniels.
Solicit: Whom the gods destroy, first they piss off! Seeking help against Doomsday, Diana turns to her brother Hephaestus for weapons—but a more immediate threat is Apollo and the other gods. They do not approve of Superman as a consort to Diana, and he will have to prove himself in combat!
If you're looking for context here, Diana and Clark face off against Diana's family especially the new king of Olympus, Apollo.

Wonder Woman of course does not approve of her brothers' action against her boyfriend but before she can do anything, Clark is back on his feet.

While I enjoyed this scene very much, I must agree with the comments from the source, this was rather forced. Felt more likfe fan-service rather than an actual intelligent comic book fight. Of course the other comments were mean and rude but to hell with them. I liked this one.
Plus Strife's reaction to the beatdown was pretty too.
I'm picking up Superman/Wonder Woman # 1 and #2 during this weekend's Komikon. Hopefully they do have that on that convention.

Tim Daly Squares Off Against Kevin Conroy
Happened in an episode of "The Daly Show" which I just discovered after this video went viral (and is hilarious too). In this video Daly gets tormented by all things Batman until the man himself, Kevin Conroy makes an appearance and beats the crap out of Tim Daly (who used to voice Superman in Superman: TAS and the Dini-verse Justice League series).
Some of the more epic moments here come from Conroy quoting that famous line from the Batman-Superman fight in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. Oh and a couple of throwbacks to the Nolan-verse Batman movies.
But the real epic thing here was hearing Conroy spout "I am the night, I am vengeance, I am Batman".

DC Comics Does it Again! Superboy to be Killed Off
DC Comics has done again. As announced over the DC panel in NYCC, writer Scott Lobdell is going to kill off the existing Conner Kent-esque Superboy to be replaced by a different Superman clone.
According to Lobdell, the current Superboy has been written as dying in a sacrifice play when him, Superman and Supergirl fight the nefarious H'el in an upcoming storyline (which is probably the 'return to Krypton' arc).
To add insult to injury (in my POV anyway), Lobdell was quoted saying that the Kon-El will be replaced by a new Superboy which first appeared at Superboy # 19. And get this, the new clone/Superboy is a now a hybrid of Superman and Lois Lane as opposed to the classic pairing of Lex Luthor and Superman.
Sigh. DC, DC, DC. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Powered Up Alfred Pennyworth Fights Superman - Injustice # 36 Spoilers
Just a short one really. I give you a super powered Alfred Pennyworth kicking the crap out of Superman.
So there was a fight in the Batcave which resulted in this panel:
Seeing how things have turned out, Alfred takes matters into his own hands and takes some weird pills which makes him Superman level strong and then proceeds to pound the Man of Steel to a bloody pulp. Here's the killing blow.

TBH, I just browsed the book so I don't have the full details on this fight. But the moment Superman was down for the count, Alfred helps Bruce Wayne back on his feet...

... and teleports out of the Batcave to parts unknown. Too bad nobody took a picture because this would've really shamed Injustice-verse Superman.

Time for the digital version of "Injustice" to say goodbye for now as this is the final issue. The book will be back next year so don't worry. Oh and if you're going to say "why are you bothering with this book"; I'm in it for the laughs and the silliness of the whole plot. Take your mind away from what's "legit" and just read Injustice already and be thankful this isn't what's happening in the New 52. Or is it?

The Justice League Timeline Prior to the New 52
Thanks to the decades worth of continuity for DC Comics, it became pretty hard to track down or at the very least understand the changes that have happened to the Justice League/ Justice League of America. Luckily for us, Comicvine had the time and the manpower to create an infographic featuring the entire Justice League timeline until the start of the New 52 in 2011.
I apologize this being rather small but I'm sure you can zoom in the chart to the point where you actually understand what's written on it.

The Saddest Superman Pet Story ever
Caught this one on Imgur this morning and I just wanted to share this just for the sake of letting you realize that Superman is supposedly written as a man that cares. And he loves cats too.
Oh and I'm still trying to figure out if this came from the Superman: Earth One GNs or from a Straczynski penned issue of Superman. But I'm going with Superman: Earth One.
Dammit, it's starting to get dusty here in my area. How's your's?
I'm taking a risk and say this is definitely SUPERMAN: EARTH ONE by JMS and Shane Davis. Get your copy from Amazon:
I also remember seeing a copy of Volume 2 last time I visited Comicx Hub.

JUSTICE LEAGUE # 23 Spoilers
SPOILERS UP for JUSTICE LEAGUE # 23 by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis and Joe Prado
I was wrong. So wrong in subscribing to the theory that SUPERMAN was replaced. Anyway I loved the latest issue of JUSTICE LEAGUE as it's the final leg of TRINITY WAR and the major reveal of who's really responsible for all this commotion.
10. Heroic Pandemonium
With the exception of Batman and Constantine, looks like the corrupting influence of Pandora's Box has seeped into the heads of the members of the three Justice League teams and it's giving us page after page of awesome fights. One of the best was when a really weakened Superman threatens to kill Batman after thinking that Wonder Woman will go for the Dark Knight if ever he dies. I'm also citing this as the number 1 silliest thing from the entire TRINITY WAR crossover.
9. ATOM revealed as TRAITOR
Wait, hold up, we already know that the female ATOM is the traitor right? Well the answer is partly yes and partly no. Yes she's a traitor and a mole but not for either the Justice League or the Justice League of America. She's been working undercover for The Crime Syndicate.
Meet GRID
It's next to impossible to take down Cyborg except if you separate his tech half from his human half; something that Atom (really Earth 3's ATOMIKA) exploited the moment she reveals GRID, a virus that's been inside Vic Stone for years now.
The Butler Did It
Yes, apparently the reason why the ring was easily stolen inside the Batcave was because it was the evil version of Alfred Pennyworth that did it together with Atomika.
Putting a Sliver of Kryptonite
That's easily one of the easiest thing you could do to take down Superman. And because of Atom's kryptonite to the brain trick, the Heat Vision surged which also cost them the life of Dr. Light.
A Dead Aquaman
Imagine my surprise when we first see the Earth 3 version of Aquaman emerge from the portal that came from Pandora's Box
The Mystery Man
Who could this mystery man?? Why is he so important that the Syndicate needs to bring him/her along. Clues, probably are in FOREVER EVIL.
THE CRIME SYNDICATE!
Our first look at the CRIME SYNDICATE of EARTH 3. Nuff said.
Damn! Now we move on to FOREVER EVIL!
