Avengers # 32 Spoilers - the Return of....

Seems like nobody really stays dead as Avengers  #32 proves. The book is written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Mike Mayhew and Brandon Peterson and continues the "End Times" storyline.

Let me once again state this clear. This is a spoiler, thus this:

So Avengers # 31 ended with the mysterious redhead sending out a distress signal using an old Avengers membership card.

The team assembles and well, there's more talk and still less action. Only action that we see is a tussle between Rulk and a repentant Wonder Man. This issue continues with the grand old Bendis tradition of featuring talking heads which hides under the guise of 'character development'.

So anyway four Avengers decide to investigate the source of the signal somewhere in a different dimension (in Central Park no less, the site of the final battle between the Skrulls and the combined might of the heroes and villains). These Avengers are Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and Giant Man (note that all of them are the founding members of the Avengers).

They enter the dimension and it's Hank Pym who firsts notices who sent out the beacon...

Yes so it seems like after losing Charles Xavier, we get another old school character like Janet Van Dyne (please note however that this appearance simply tramples on the other Wasp stuff that's already been established by Christos Gage over in Avengers Academy).

So anyway upon this surprising reunion, we get to see Janet mouth kiss her founding Avengers teammates.

Also note that stupid look on Giant Man's face while Janet jumps for joy over her 'rescue'. Yes its written in his face that somebody'll probably get lucky when they get back. Poor Tigra though. She and Hank have hooked up again in Avengers Academy. 

We also get to meet who the baddie for the arc is. It's apparently a cyborg centaur straight out DOTA...
