News on the grapevine is that this new armor isn't the Mark VIII as I've previously mentioned. Rumor has it that the Extremis armor is actually armor # 47 (or 48 depending on your news source). This means between "The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3" Stark has created a lot more armors.
Not sure if we'll see this on the trailer but another news that's been running around is that the Extremis armor ups the ante in terms of how Stark 'suits up'. The last coolest transformation was seen in "Avengers" where the dons the armor while falling from a building [being thrown by Loki and all that].
There's also rumors that state that Iron Man will be battling The Mandarin [Ben Kingsley] in a grand scale battle... Below is Kingsley's version of the Mandarin...
By grandscale I mean Stark will be using his Extremis powers to control all 40 + armors in his armory to fight Mandarin; which is pretty cool if you ask me.
