MARVEL NOW 2 Officially Announced with Avengers, Inhumans and Invaders

Marvel Comics has just released their opening salvo for the second wave of Marvel Now titles coming our way starting December. These include familiar faces with new creative teams. 

So yes, James Robinson has jumped aboard the Marvel ship and I'm really hoping he kicks ass with this new title featuring unlikely allies Captain America, the Original Human Torch (Jim Hammond), Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier and Namor.

Then there's also AVENGERS # 24 which kicks off a brand new story arc entitled ROGUE PLANET which sees Cap and Iron Man creating a new Avengers team to stop a runaway train-esque planet from colliding with Earth. Even awesome is the fact that they have Esad Ribic as artist.

Finally, the most obvious title that will be coming out for the second wave of Marvel Now titles, INHUMANS by Matt Fraction and Joe Madureira. Guess we have to track down INFINITY closely to understand the story.

Oh and let's not forget about the in-betweener book INHUMANITY which just had it's first cover revealed a few days ago.

Thor: God of Thunder # 1 Review and Spoilers

Here's my pick for the coolest moment for Marvel Now's Thor: God of Thunder # 1 by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic. 

Thor was one of those books that will get you hooked the moment the mystery starts to unravel. The best part about this issue is a caper story spanning millenia starting with a young and foolish Thor out for giant blood all the way to a Thor who pretty much resembles his dad Odin. 

Jason Aaron knows how to hook people with his kind of writing. It's very smart and very keen into little details. Some Aaron haters might say that this book is once again showing how sexist the writer can be but c'mon give him a break, these are vikings we're dealing with and that's how they roll in the olden days. 

New Covers for Iron Man and Thor God of Thunder # 1 for Marvel NOW

Here are the two upcoming covers for the upcoming Marvel Now books (read relaunch) namely Invincible Iron Man # 1 and Thor God of Thunder # 1.

The new book will focus again on Tony Stark and his new Iron Man armors. Yes, its ARMORS. Apparently Kieron Gillen has plans to provide us with more than just one armor through his different story arcs.
