It Feels like 2001 All Over Again with the Trailer for The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey

The new trailer for The Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit has been officially released and it looks awesome. Suddenly I feel like its 2001 all over again with us geeking out over this movie just like how LOTR Fellowship of the Ring did when it was released.

The new movie is directed by Peter Jackson with a complete title "The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey". The film stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, the uncle of LOTR lead Frodo Baggins (played by Elijah Wood).

We see Freeman brandishing the sword "Sting" which he later gives to Frodo during the start of Fellowship. And yes, this movie will also tell the story of how Bilbo finds the One Ring. Cool characters that return in this prequel include Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and Lady Galadriel (Cate Blanchett).

Oh and I'm also looking forward to see how Thorin Oakenshield would fare onscreen compared to his book counterpart.

Here's the official trailer to THE HOBBIT.

Honestly though, I'd like to see the second part which will have more battles (similar to Helm's Deep or the Battle of Minas Morgul) and the final battle called "The Battle of Five Armies".
