7 Reasons Why We Need to Stop Tuning in to the Vhong Navarro Case

Can't let this issue slide but I certainly hate this. To be honest, I'm pretty sick of the whole Vhong Navarro -Deniece Cornejo - Cedric Lee story. It's drivel and utter garbage and people certainly have more things to do than tune in and watch what passes as 'news' trickle. It was good the first two days but with so many things happening, we really should stop this.

Credit: Examiner
1. It's veiled network war - ABS-CBN is defending Vhong's honor. I get that, it's part of their responsibility as an employer. They play the whole angle of Vhong being innocent while GMA pushes to pain Vhong as the evil, rapist out to get the 'purity' of one Ms. Deniece Cornejo. They throw news all day, countering each other's reports. It's definitely the network war in a whole new playing field and we're all stuck with it.

2. Politicians are riding in it now - Rather than focus on Napoles and her sordid activities with taxpayer money, politicians like Jinggoy Estrada and Bong Revilla are doing 'everything they can to bring justice to Vhong'. They want to ride on the popularity of this non-issue to divert attention from other matters.

3. Slut-shaming - I fucking hate people who have slut shamed a person they don't even know till like 40 minutes ago. We don't know what really happened so let's not throw stones at this supposed 'Mary Magdalene'. The way the comments thread on any news outlet flows, there's always bound to be a 'P.I.' or tarantado or even death threats. What if it's your little sister that got involved in this? You'd probably tear other people's hearts right?

4. Patronizing - That's one problem I have with society. We patronize people too much. We're all monsters, we all have a dark side and it's just not right to patronize ourselves TOO MUCH. Why the fuck was Vhong in the condo, meeting a girl privately despite the fact that he has a girlfriend. Ano to magbabahay-bahayan lang sila? The hashtag #justiceforvhong is just over the wall. seriously.

5. There's No Pay Off - standby a news or an issue if there's a payoff. Our first step towards peace in Mindanao has been achieved and yet we are all tuned in for the exclusive on the Vhong Navarro- Deniece Cornejo - Cedric Lee case. Once that's done, where does that leave us? Yolanda victims are still reeling from the disaster and yet here we are, moving on with our lives and making 'chismis' on a (and I cannot stress this enough) NON-ISSUE.

Also, we don't earn money from this and yet we spend so much time... even in social media.

6. It turns people into experts - just like how a Manny Pacquiao match can turn all of us into veteran sports analysts, this non-issue is turning the average Juan Dela Cruz into lawyers, detectives and medico legals. That's how absurd this is.

7. Reminder that the Rich Gets More - does it not hurt you that this is getting so much attention and yet other cases are scoffed? Yes that's right, it's because the ones involved are rich AND famous. We wouldn't even be batting an eyelash if it were some poor Juan or Juana in Tondo.

I know there's a whole lot more but I just don't want to completely ruin my day. Wake up people. Tune out and start talking about other things, you'll be happier if you do so.

  1. Juts like one of the saying goes, "poor people talks people." And come to think that every single news item that is associated with this only has an objective in our very own minds - that is to bullshit us.

    3. 3 reasons why we should follow this vhong issue:
      1. If proven guilty, the Vhong Navarro that we all know on face of the camera na mukhang mabait and innocent, with people, children idolizing him, was a "rapist" pala.
      2. Cedric Lee, this is an issue of extortion. Sample the athlet David Bunevacz
      3. Pambubugbog pag set up sa isang kilalang lalaki na pwede nangyayari at mangyari pa sa iba pang tao.

    4. These people are not poor, they are are concerned citizens, xmpre humihingi ng hustisya ung nabugbog eh, mlamang they (of course you're not included) want to help nman by sharing / posting their thoughts sa Social Media, admit it, if not for this Social Media Hype, hndi nman magiging ganun kabilis ung pag'responde ng NBI sa kaso nla.. Though I agree may mas marami pang news na dapat pag'usapan, wala pa kasing isang linggo tong issue, mainit pa kumbaga. It's just normal.. Kung di nio matake ung mga posts about Vhong's issue, then wag mong basahin.. keep calm and don't judge.

    5. I agree with jsanpascual, the fact that you are stating not to throw stones, look at what you're doing. The case is still on going so you can't state "What if it's your little sister that got involved in this? You'd probably tear other people's hearts right?". You don't know what happened in there and please this statement of yours "Why the fuck was Vhong in the condo, meeting a girl privately despite the fact that he has a girlfriend." The issue is not on Vhong cheating on her girlfriend but it's on Cornejo being raped and Vhong being mauled which both camps have a different story of their own. The other issues were not scoffed of they are still in there read newspapers and online news, they are still there. Look at newspapers like Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manila bulletin and Philippine Star and read the front page there is no such thing as Cornejo-Vhong case, it's on the Entertainment page it's not on the frontline. So please before you post and start trash talking please don't contradict your statements, telling people not to judge him or her when at the later part you are the one doing it and please for the love of God please read and read and read more on articles before creating stuffs like this. May God bless you.

  2. 7 Reasons Why We Need to Stop Tuning in to the Vhong Navarro Case - wow, ginandahan mo pa ang title dude haha. If i had the luxury of time, i'd answer back with an article entitled, "8 Reasons Why You Need to Shut Up!", mas catchy noh? Eto lang, four words bro, "WALA KANG PAKI!", in the same way others are not bothering you or your opinions (except me, 'cause somebody needs to shut you up!) Tapos ung sayo kunwari eh vinideo-han ka din, binaboy, tapos para masaya eh pinutol ari mo at pinakain kay nemo!ayun! puputaktihin ka ng news nun pre at instant celebrity dating mo nun! and most of all, you'll get what you want of eliminating the followers of the Navarro case, haha! Lastly, if you're wondering where the fourth word went? eto lang un...GAGO!

and please before you write a comment, please be logical enough to fight what you had started. 14. now im wasting my time for this, but @thefuckkaboy, you're a good example of people that he meant with this post. kanyang kanyang trip? the whole thing about what he meant was we don't want our lives stock with Navarro case, and then after all the case what are we? you are still here Doing the "kanyang kanyang trip lang yan", I'm still there doing my own, Fanboyseo doing what he does best, and what about the people involve? Well, they will be popular getting more media shit, and sad to say, we made them rich and famous,

thats why people could talk about it a once and get on with your lives, and I guess, hindi na iingit si Fanboyseo its just that his opening your eyes on how MEDIA itself controls everyone, and damn it I'm already a part of this drama, so I'll stop here and proceed before I become like you.

    15. Naku naman.. @thefucklaboy, I agree with Souljah P.
You're really a perfect example of the people that the author referred to in this post. xD
And you just said it yourself, wala siyang pakialam, wala ka ring pakialam sa gusto niyang imensahe sa lahat.
All opinions are equal. Walang tamang opinyon, walang mali.
You're words (and actions) dictate that you're the one fishing for attention here.
That's all I wanted to say here, and I'm outta here, before I become an undiplomatic bastard like you..

Too bad you don't get it. Tinamaan ka lang sa sinabi. Problema sayo tsismoso ka eh. If you're gonna contradict a well written article uch as this, do it with valid points. Well as they say, "you can't fix stupid". Your kind is what's wrong in our country.

HInde! Or free entrance sa Showtime? Hinde! Or free ticket sa movies nya? Hinde! It's totally wrong what they did to Vhong, pero naisip mo na pede sanang hindi mangyari kay Vhong yun if hindi sya nagpadala sa Libido nya? And to think na may GF pala siya! You get my point? Probably not coz ur too busy waiting for the updates. I pity you!

    19. Hey guys, in this post I will utterly destroy a Jejemon's senseless tantrum. I will even use Filipino as I suspect using English will only lead to a defense mechanism where he attacks me ad-hominem for being elitist, to cover up for the jejemon's insecurities about failing to master one of two of our country's official languages.
      ---
      1. Hindi po mas "catchy" o nakakaakit ang titulong "8 Reasons Why You Need to Shut Up" dahil ginaya niyo po lang ang porma ng kanyang orihinal na titulo.

      3. "Somebody Needs to Shut You Up" Ang huling pagka-alala ko, ang Pilipinas ay mula 1987 isang demokrasya.

      5. "eliminating the followers of the (Vhong) Navarro case" …

    22. Ang galing ng strategy ni Fanboy( no sarcasm intended), First, create a controversial title, second post quality keywords for ranking, third, let people react and share, bingo! High rank for this page and his site. Galing for SEO (kaya nga Fanboy SEO di ba?) :) Well, honestly sawa na din ako na mabasa to sa lahat ng social media sites at sa news, pero to each is own di ba? At bakit naman hindi, kumpleto eh: may action, drama, crime, suspense, violence, corruption, deception, romance at may sexy time pa, so masarap talagang sundan. If you don't want to read the shares on facebook click unfollow or delete di ba? I admire those people who are sharing their sentiments on this thread, hindi nila kaano ano si Vhong pero the fire of those who support is high, may inapi, at kung hindi sa mga taong nagagalit sa sitwasyon, madaling mamamatay ang kaso. So bakit mo kailangan pigilan? Nakatulong ka to keep the issue alive, yung inner desires mo to bash somebody that you don’t know nasatisfy…well minsan sobra, pero who cares, opinion mo yun di ba? We do need to accept that this is the reality of things lalo na dahil may internet. Sa mga sumusuporta, I salute you, sa mga sawa na gaya ko wag na lang magbasa, at sayo FanboySEO kudos, hindi dahil sa sinulat mo, kung hindi sa strategy mo to rank your page. Isang mapagpalayang araw sa inyong lahat :)

    27. Tama si ON Looker. Nag ride c fanboyseo sa issue for WEB TRAFFIC and attention which is smart pero his opinion should be respected kahit hindi approve sa ibang readers. Meron na man siyang valid points pero kulang sa awareness sa mga critical issues like RAPE, ABDUCTION, EXTORTION at COERCION. He made it sound as if the situation is TRIVIAL and non-life threatening which really adds fuel to fire (pati ako na fired up). Sa mga participants dito (eg. supporters, bashers, kapamilya, kapuso, commenters in general) EASY lng. Parang mag papatayan na kayo. Hehe. :P

Everybody is entitled to his own opinion. At ang kaso ni Vhong Navarro is but a case like that of Napoles-- can you see the similarities??? hindi pwedeng ipag sawalang bahala. Every piece of crime should be looked into with seriousness, sincerity, honesty, diligence and intelligence. Bakit ba natin nasasabi na natabunan na ang kaso ni napoles at ng iba pang crimes committed by high ranking personalities? kasi nga "justice delayed is justice denied" kind of thing ang nangyayari sa sosyedad natin. kung hindi tinutukan ang kaso ni vhong, I don't think the authorities would be prompted to do what it has to be done for this case of Vhong! The case of Vhong is not simple, and the people who did that to him are good looking people, people you never expected to do harm on people, this is scary, and this needs to spread for people's awareness, sabi nga ni ON Looker "If you don't want to read the shares on facebook click unfollow or delete di ba?", he is right! Who are you tell people to just stop expressing opinion on VHong Navarro's case because of lots of reasons, your reasons may stress some points, but those reasons of yours do not necessarily mean the whole point of the society's opinion! though we cannot just simply say to each his own tayo. we cannot also say shut up and stop this and that. the population of the world is vast and I don't think we can say this to the whole world. kung papaano mo gustong marinig ka ng mundo ganun din palagay ko ang bawat tao. Let us put it in a simpler term- respect everyone's opinion.

    1. Ah but you miss the most important point of this whole article. I'm not "dictating" I am merely giving REASONS why they should tune out. In the end it's still their choice. See? No harm done right?

    2. He's not dictating what you should believe. Have you ever heard of democracy? Look it up sometime :)

      Delete
    3. So that automatically means we can't say what needs to be said? All because the majority's never gonna buy into it anyway?

Better to say something about it and not be listened to than to sit back, do nothing, and watch society deteriorate further.

      Delete
    4. Fanboyseo. Not tryin to get in your way or somethin' but if you're sick of the whole news that is spreading then why write a whole blog about it? It just makes you one of them . If I were you I would just sit back relax and eat my popcorn. Cause plainly I don't give a fuck about their matters and clearly everyone has issues of there own so I would recommend to put yourselves first .

    5. @romeo... You can say what you want. If you read carefully, the point is to retain a certain degree of objectivity. We all have things we feel strongly about and it's pretty obvious everyone has something to say about this issue and I agree that we cannot remove the right from anyone to speak their truth. However, if you say you're saying that your goal by speaking out is to better the society then I don't see why you have to slam the guys for citing the reasons above because these are all things to consider that are helpful to better the society. It is a healthy exercise to put things in perspective especially because a lot of people lose sight of that when they are tuned in on the issue.

      Delete
    6. You can not expect even the least degree of objectivity from people whose comments/opinions are run by emotions rather than reason. This whole thing only brings out the evil in some narrow-minded people.

      Delete
    7. i agree taguig henyo some of those who are following the issue has been one-sided and opinions are run by their emotions.. this issue attracted individuals/organizations that should not be part of this issue thus taking advantage to cover some more society oriented issues.. the problem nowadays is that our fellow citizens are easily distracted with issues regarding high profile personalities.. and i'm so sick of famous personalities using their fame, power and money to get sympathy of the people to cover up their bad deeds.. and i share the same sentiments with the author.. there is nothing wrong with giving sympathy and even i sympathize to those people who are involved but we do have problem of our own and our society have much bigger problem which also requires lot of attention.. wake up guys..

      Delete
    8. he is not dictating anyone to follow or believe to what he is saying. he is merely letting us know what is happening to our society (that there is something wrong with it). Yeah it's part of civilization and it's the kind that sociologist would want to correct.

Have you taken sociology? go and retake it. might help you next time...

  6. Yes this is true. though personally, I think there could be some circumstances why naging usapan ito ng mga tao.
    1. Laging nakikita si Vhong sa It's show time. Then we heard na ganito ang nangyari, so talagang pag-uusapan kahit di naman sinasadya.

As you observed, starting monday jan 27, maraming oras ang nakakain ng balitang Vhong navarro. Like for example, mag tune in ka sa mga news programs na to from the start. At balikan mo ulit bago matapos, babalik ulit sa naging news nila nung start. Ayaw ko noon! For me, gumugulo ang program. Thankfully, hindi ganito ang stile sa State of the nation sa chan 11.

Kung mali, sorry, I'm willing to be correct.

  7. The author of the site is merely suggesting to think about more productive and worthy topics to talk about. The napoles case is almost forgotten now because of this drivel, and this is exactly what the corrupt politicians want. yet again as a society we forget the more important issues in favour of the rich and famous... yet again.

You have every right to be dumb and ignorant. doesnt mean you should.

See what I'm trying to point out? What we see is what we get. They air what they want. Hindi ni-request ng mga tao yan. Besides, we can't see for ourselves din naman talaga. Siguro kung yung nire-report nila about Napoles malamang everyone will be into it. Surely concerned ang fellow citizens kahit ako I agree with what you're saying pero tell me, from who do we get updates? And how do we talk about something na hindi naman pinapakita satin? It's all within their hands.

  14. As a writer, I found this blog inline with reality. First of all, vhong navarro mauling issue is not as big as napoles issue. there is no point in making this issue big. The only problem with people is the fact that they love following TV personalities. Kaya nga nauso at sumikat ung Pinoy Big Brother (PBB). Everyone wants to be in the trend, kasi sa panahon ngayon, lahat ng showbiz happenings gusto natin merong updates.

No wonder, issues about anne curtis, billy crawford, vice ganda at kay vhong navarro would be sucked by the sick 3 big media companies.

I would agree with you, and everything said in this blog is true. But the question is: what went wrong? Sa nakikita ko at nababasa online, ang unang problema eh yung mga taong masyadong nakikisympatya kay vhong, masyado silang affected. there is nothing wrong expressing sympathy.

If there is something wrong in this vhong navarro mauling incident craze, it's the media themselves. They bombard their news with updates with this issue kasi this incident could generate them millions of view. Everyone wants to know updates, and these stations would suck any information they could get with this SINGLE topic just to grab audience.

Kaya, I can say, may punto ung writer, pero pag tungkol sa audience? Well, blame the three mind-controlling networks for their greed.

Pero overall, well written po siya sir! GJ!

  15. Only narrow minded people wont get the point that there are more important issues that we need to put our attention to. Vhong is rich, famous, and has connections. He can battle and survive this trials even without the people taking so much time talking about it. If we truly care for Vhong as Hes a known individual, all we can do is pray for him and move on. Focus on more relevant things. Yes, someone said that this is certainly a common behavior in our society; its like a domino effect Media wont also pay too much attention reporting about something if they see that people arent so hooked with the issue., this blog urges us to change our views for the better.

  16. I agree with this so much. The fact of the matter is, the common juan points out stupid facts without diving deeper into them. Case and point, the argument with PTSD.

I'm a medical professional and I've had background knowledge about PTSD in intimate detail, and people just flat out stamp it willy nilly, Really, guys, read books and not internet articles or stupid gossip. It really bothers us, guys. Don't diagnose on your own.

  23. Finally! Someone with common sense! I am getting sick to this issue! Just now, I heard a group of girls discussing about the Vhong Navarro case as if it were a political issue. The truth is, he is just some guy who happens to be famous doing sneaky things at the middle of the night. There are other fucked up things (and other good things) to tell and yet they chose to document about a guy and his temporary journey to wonderland. He just happened to pay the price in an extreme kind of way that's all.

  25. We cannot prevent people to follow the issue. On the first place, it's all over the media: tv, newspapers, net, radio, sa classmates mo, sa katabi mo sa bus, and elsewhere! How can you not follow it? Second, we are in a democratic country and people can freely express their feelings, so just let them, may nawala ba sayo? Haha! Well maybe that's the nega side of being free, naaabuso ang rights. But still it is their rights. Don't be affected if you see them affected. :)

  26. I think it's not the media's fault. The news gives what people wants to know. Syempre I believe na meron more important topics na dapat tinututukan but ang bagal ng usad ng story ng other issues, so people get tired. Unlike sa case ni Vhong everyday meron bagong balita so people stay tuned in. I just don't like the bias reporting of the networks but this is the power of social media. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, yun nga lang yung iba out of line na.

  33. Majority of the Filipino netizens needs perspective. Justice for vhong? How about justice for the ampatuan victims. There are a lot of cases that needs justice. If vhong was beaten to a pulp defending the rights of the oppressed I'd cry out justice for him. He went to a condo to get laid? Too bad he got set up, though its cruel, but to make it a big issue? That's too over board. And its hard to ignore this, coz its everywhere. Its like a bad case of less.

  37. im not siding with anyone here a, but i watched the news earlier sa tv 5, abs and gma. i Dont see na puro Vhong Navarro mauling ang pinag usapan nila. It is healthy for us to think na there are more important issues na dapat tugunan ng pansin. (atleast we know that) But the Vhong Navarro incident also tells us the standing reality that some people think that they are powerful enough to take the law into their own hands. Mababaw nga tayo kung ang tingin lang natin sa incident na ito is just another showbiz issue. we are forgetting the fact that if this is not Vhong Navarro, that kind of incident should be news worthy still, because NO ONE should take matters into their own hands. It may be jologs, it might be bakya, but people should always be informed of what is happening in their society, and the dangers that could come their way.

  39. Hello,

I get the whole point and wala namang problema. It is sort of partial when you only use "slut shaming" what about "stereotyping" na rapist na si Vhong? I guess people have to choose from 3 things. Believe Deniece, believe Vhong or don't care at all. Ang problema lang kasi majority ng people have seen the CCTV and believes no rape happened. 2 minutes is not enough time to remove your clothes ng bumaba si Deniece.

I guess what I'm saying is that if merong slutshaming - meron ding feminist point of view na rapist agad ung lalaki which i think is not fair na hindi nasali sa list.

    Thanks sa pagbasa po

  40. This coming from a blog called FanboySEO. Your #2 and #7 points just explains what you were trying to do on your site: gain more traffic by riding on the popularity of this issue.

Yeah yeah, don't hate us for caring too much over the issue. Personally, I hate that there are people getting annoyed with all the updates on this issue and are voicing out their disgust. But please, not everyone is like you guys. We're actually concerned over Vhong Navarro and would like to him to get justice for what Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo's group has done. If ever, it'll show us that our justice system "may finally be" doing what is right. It gives us hope that a simple guy like Vhong can speak up against big guys like Cedric Lee. And that MAYBE. just maybe... the government will finally side with who's right. Maybe.

  42. I couldn't agree more. I wish there was a way to slap this post to each and everyone that are obsessed with all this crap.

I know that Totoy Bibo's fans are gonna hate this post or this comment even but lemme ask you this, retards... About the same time that this issue occurred, a 9-year-old girl was raped, killed and dumped in a drainage. The incident was reported live on T.V.. Did you see someone asking for justice for that poor girl? Can you find one on fb? Don't worry, I'll wait.

Also, a 22-year-old lady was also killed and her body was dumped just a few blocks from her house. Again, not a single Facebook post was made shouting justice for her.

Why? Hindi kasi sila sikat. Di ba? Ganon ba yon? Deadma nlng? Dba justice-seekers kayo? with matching hashtags and all. Pero pag nde naman sikat ung pinatay/binugbog, why bother, right? Parang tama yata talaga na "justice is only for those who can afford it".

Marami nagugutom. Marami walang trabaho. Ang sagwa, dba?

To the blog owner, hats off to you, sir. Thank you for this post.

  45. Disclaimer: How I see this issue in "MY own point of view..."

I wanted to see and know how our justice system works now that this is being aired on National TV... Sure thing, the NAPOLES and YOLANDA victims issues and far more important than this news but ey it's quite interesting to know actually how this non-issue (like you said but it is actually an issue and quite a big one) will end. Will the right justice be served or not?

As you pointed out, a lot of people turned to instant expert on how the Law works, Investigation proceedings and all those sh*t works and probably a lot also knows the obvious as well of the possible outcome of the issue but the result is just getting delayed and we understand why. Maybe a lot of crooks politician are really happy right now that's why the main crooks and chiming in as well! Do we have a choice but to wait for the outcome?

So yeah, for past time sake, every now and then, news like this to stir up someone's day is not that bad or perhaps very BAD at all from your own perspective and some others on this blog...

It's really up to you to get consummate by this news and you can't actually tell the majority the "NEED TO STOP TUNING INTO" this news because for some of them, this catches their interest (like me partly of course) and they'd like to know what will be the outcome of this when all is said and done...

So there you go, you have your own reasons to Stop Tuning, go for it! like what you're doing now, trying to influence other people as well to stop... but know as well that you just can tell people to stop coz it's their life, it's their time, it's their loss, it's their misery. At the end of the day that's what matters...

Just my two cents.... peace out!

Filipinos are not perfect, they are the way they are. But don't limit yourself to what you only want to believe, be open to alot of opinions to see what really is the right thing to do and so that you can learn better. Don't focus on things that you only see or you only want to see and thats what make you blinded. The author is just saying his opinion because thats what he observed. Its up to you if you agree or disagree with him. Just leave it with that.

  55. Everyone is entitled for their own opinions. There's a point naman sa blog na ito lalo na kung biktima sya ng flood notifs about kay vhong navarro sa social media. The only thing na hindi ko maintindihan is ung sinasabi nilang station war... ON THE GO or MOVE ON agad.

My point is this is not a non issue. This is important to me tulad ng Napoles at MILF peace process sa Mindanao. At ano pang issue sa Typhoon Haian last year?

Kaya your blog is noted and people should respect whatever you say here.

    1. I absolutely like your points. I don't see the whole Vhong-Deniece-Cedric Lee issue as a showbiz issue, but as an issue of crime investigation. I see it in the light of social awareness. I'd rather see people involved than see people being apathetic towards the quest for truth and justice. Mas nakakabahala yung latter na scenario.

  60. just want to know how justice is serve in this country most esp all is favor to vhong's part.
If you are a part of media, the hot topic now is in vhong's case why the heck you go for the other topic if you know that nobody will watch or pay attention to it. just go with the flow man..

  62. What's going on with Napoles? How many families in Tacloban have already been granted temporary - functional - housing? How many families are still starving and in need of medical attention? I don't know because no one is reporting on it, and no one is reporting on it, because the media needs to give the people what they want, and what they want right now is this issue. We have the power to sway the media as long as we show them what truly matters to us.

  65. I highly doubt if nakita mo na yung CCTV before posting this obnoxious post because if nakita mo na yun, you can never say na may rape na nangyari. Vhong is the clear victim here unless you're an idiot and ipipilit mo pa rin na siya ang may kasalanan. Now, I just wasted 3 minutes of my life by reading your stupid post and posting this comment but someone has to do it! Talk about irresponsible blogger. Good riddance.

Just saying...

  67. This post tells me that listening to individual's justice is enough for two days. Lets focus on napoles how the govt deals with her. Because I don't want to see the progress of how the officials handle the case of vhong. If my daughter is deniece or my son is cerdric. Let them lie to the public and get away with it so that they can do far worst the next time. Now if my son would be vhong. Let him be misunderstood by many. because the law of the loving Savior (Creator) "thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor" (thou shall not agree with many who bear false witness) is not important. Thank you for sharing your inconsiderate feeling for others and beside most pilipinos interact with gossip as much as with how they cooperate with domestic rights.

  72. Entirely true, where another country would relegate such trite to something say like TMZ, or some entertainment centric medium. We've labeled this nonsense as something more important than, I dunno say a case involving a lot of our elected officials? This is exactly why we suffer as a country. To put some bullshit story such as this as headline news over more important matters shows how much the Filipino's priorities are mixed-up. To give so much attention to this trite over the important matters, no wonder our "masa" are so easily swayed and used.

Hell this entire comments section is an exercise at the stupidity of the Filipino mind-set. You people give so much attention to this article that contradicts your views, and rage about it in the comments section. You realize by giving so much attention to this article you're driving up it's page views right? By giving your UNINTELLIGENT blabber on the comments section you're actually giving something you disagree with more attention and thus giving the author more revenue. God the stupidity of the comments here is so overwhelming. Get your priorities straight people, delegate this sort of "news" to the 2nd page and pay more attention to the more pressing matters that need to be dealt with.

TL;DR for those people, and I know there are a LOT of them here, that didn't read the entirety of my thoughts, or are too stupid to understand it: Get your fucking priorities straight and pay less attention to news, nay drivel, like this "story".

  75. Regarding No.2, how sure are we that the government is not acting on other issues? Maybe you're focused as well in the case of Vhong-Deniece-Cedric, reason why you are not able to see the other things they are doing.
Syempre masmalaki ung pinaguusapan kay Napoles, Millions! And connected talaga lahat kaya di expected na ganun kabilis matatapos ung case nya compared dito.
Mabagal...
Pero overall, okay yung post. Youre one of the reasons why they are kept on tuning! Keep up the good work.^_^

  78. I agree with all the points that you have raised but one, IMO GMA do not paint Vhong as a villain...they just merely stated the fact firsthand that there was a blotter report against Vhong, If you could also watch Jessica Soho's analysis am not sure of the date either monday or tuesday she has given an unbiased yet detailed report related on the case. When it comes to current events or news, I honestly do not trust ABSCBN because they have the reputation of being biased.

I want justice to be served.

  81. 1. It's veiled network war: ABS-CBN VS GMA - they are competitors, they will always fight once in while; it will even raise their shows' ratings if they throw bad accusations at each other. (there's no need for concern)
    2. Politicians are riding in it now - we can't really do anything about this, end of story.
    3. Slut-shaming - only if she deserves it! If this was my sister I would put her in jail myself!
    4. Patronizing - Say what?! There's nothing ILLEGAL with meeting a girl privately despite the fact that he (Vhong) has a girlfriend.-- Seriously!
    5. There's No Pay Off - what about penalizing the offenders, and achieving justice for the victims? Isn't that a pay off enough?
    6. It turns people into experts - Well how do u like that? it has turned you into an expert in analyzing this situation too, didn't it? BUT really you don't need to be an expert to understand what (might) have happened. The CCTV information gives you concrete information, plus the statements of both parties.
    7. Reminder that the Rich Gets More - media is all over this because it is very news worthy. When media delivers news about Juan or Juana on the regular news we tune in to that too, we talk about that too, don't we?

I think every person has a right to tune in or not. For you it might be nonsense or even stupid. It's a matter of opinion. People tune in because they have the time, and they want to weigh the information being shared by the parties involved.

I'm sure you won't say the same things if it was you instead of Vhong, or if it was your brother who was almost beaten to death, and ended up in the ICU. A lot of people won't realize it until they are the victims.

  86. right, right.. :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Wow dami na palang pangyayari dito since i started a spark haha! I've been reading most of the views and reactions and lahat ng gusto kong sabihin eh nasabi na ng lahat.

-marami ding nag-iisip, nangungutya, OA, nagpe-play safe, nagpapa-cute, etc

Productivity in this case becomes subjective. The fact na nakisawsaw ka nga doesn't make you any different no matter what you say.

I stick to my message, post lang pero WALA KANG PAKI dahil trip, time, gastos, at pagod ko ito!

Sa mga ilang nakaunawa ng points ko sa initial post, good for you.

  101. Remember, when the news about Pork Barrel came out, everyone was talking about it. Napoles, Sexy, Tanda etc. it was all over the news, facebook timeline, instagram posts, twitter and different blogs. About the issue with this celebrity, Vhong Navarro, if you would take a look at the bigger picture, you'll see na hindi lang to because he's a TV personality nor some Booty call gone wrong, its about rich people, claiming power and authority over people. And they wouldnt budge if your a celebrity or what. If they want to hit you, they would. If nagawa nila yun to someone na kilala, someone that can easily speak out sa public and make them infamous, they can do it to anyone especially sa mga walang "connections". You know why? Because they think na they have enough kapit sa government to get away with whatever shit they do. I personally check the news about the case not because Im a fan of Navarro but because I want to see kung kaya ba talaga ng government to put a stop sa mga gantong bagay. Its a blessing in disguise na sa isang celebrity nila to ginawa, because everyone was made aware na hindi lang sa mga ordinary people nangyayare to, na it can happen to anyone. Its an eye opener na hindi lang mahihirap or kapos ang gumagawa ng masama, kahit yung mga sobrang yaman na. This is not the first time they did something like this, so when will this stop? If someone famous like Vhong wont get justice then pano tayo na ordinary people lang? People are not forgetting about the bigger issues na we have, its just that this one is also a question of safety sa Philippines. Its not really about just Vhong, its also about how far would the Police go sa case na to when in fact higher officials ng police ang may hawak sa perpetrator. lets respect each other na lang. Kasi im pretty sure if its you sa position ni Navarro, God forbid, your family and close friends wouldnt think of the other issues na meron ang Pilipinas, they would only care about what the police is doing sa case mo, and they would only want justice to be served. I guess, thats what my family would do too.

  105. 1. They are defending for justice. Vhong already confessed and said sorry to her gf. If he and Ch2 was to defend his honor, he could have just shut his mouth and let his dirty secret of womanizing be hidden from the public. Countering each other's report- it's just natural, because someone does not want to accept the blame and tell the truth. But the main purpose is to reveal the real story.
2.Even if they do, this does not follow that the cases of these politicians are forgotten.
    3. You don't even know what happened (andun na tayo we think of little sisters?) How about --What if your little brother was manhandled like this without even doing something? Have you seen the CCTv cam records? Who could rape someone in 2 minutes time? And the so-called/acclaimed raped victim was even fixing her hair inside the elevator like nothing happened (if there was really) and stayed most of the time outside the condo? Can an individual rape someone who is not in the room? Can someone rape someone with her gang? WOw! Pardon the comments but that's their opinion and their emotions bursting from what happened. Still the truth is the most important thing.
    4. Like what you've said, we are all monsters, but why the hell did the girl invite vhong to come over? Delicadeza na lang. Anong motive?
    5. It does not mean that when people follow VHong's story would disable people help victims from the disaster, and that people do not pay attention to other news, it's just one of the news they follow.
    6. Congrats you are an expert now. I guess, having hematoma all around your eyes and the feeling of the pain is not absurd. It is serious.
    7. Everything is a choice, and it's your choice of you'll ruin your day or not.

I tune in because I want to know the truth, just like I do with the other news.
Did you know that these rich people (Cedric Lee and etc) become rich because of this modus operandi? if not, you should read more, being informed can save you from becoming the next victim. I am hopeful na, if proven guilty sina Cedric Lee, Deniece COrnejo et. al, matitigil na ganitong gawain. If they are innocent, Okay. At least justice will be served. #Just saying a lot.

When the time comes that your shit smells like flowers, maybe, just maybe, you can consider yourself the enlightened one. But meanwhile, cast away hypocrisy and embrace humility and serenity as well. PEACE!!!!!

I'm not against Vhong Navarro or the investigation or whatever about this case.

  122. the author also took the time to write something pertaining to the trending topic, goes to show that the author is also very much affected by the issue otherwise why bother writing this right? well kanya kanyang trip yan eh, walang basagan. eh sa kung gus2 nilang mag vhovhong buong araw trip nila yan, bakit nyo sila papakelamn. dami pang nasabing mayaman, mahirap, sikat lines, the fact of the matter is everyone has their own opinion and everyone wants to be significant or heard. kaya respetohan nalang ng trip, db? :) i disagree with the author lang po, if you want to tune in then by all means, buti nga may pakielam pa ang mga walang magawa.

  123. We are on the age of stupid, Media controls the mind of the poor minded fucks.

  126. Thanks for posting this man! A breathe of fresh air, one we are in dire need of. Whew, to say that I am tired of all the bullcrap drama, is an understatement. Every fucking place I go to, has but one shit in mind, and that is, this stupid story of how a guy got jealous and all hell broke loose. The media indeed did a good job brainwashing peasants into this debate, if there really is one. I want to share this incident that occurred a few days back.

    Actual conversation.

**I did not respond anymore, for I found it futile to present an argument with someone who is as close-minded as her.

See? 17 people died in Mindanao and we'd rather listen intently to this non-issue, as perfectly stressed by the author. This is exactly why our beloved country is not progressing, cause instead of pooling all our efforts in things that is beneficial to our country, we CHOOSE to get stuck with this drama.

  127. Wow, as of today, fanboyseo got 28k shares on facebook... Well done, and be thankful for the people who tuned in to Vhong's -deniece case, you became viral... And you guys stop fighting kung sino ang tama o mali, get a life! Rather than arguing on this site and attacking fanboy, tune in na lang kayo sa case nila Vhong at Deniece. :)

  129. I don't have time to read all comments. But what he said was true enough. Truth hurts does it? No wonder why so many people are reacting in defense of Navarro. Too many issues to discuss other than this, it's okay to have updates once in awhile but to dedicate the whole freaking program to his issues that's just absurd.
