Here are some of the coolest moments from Batman # 9 by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. This is another part of the ongoing "Night of the Owls" crossover happening in all bat-books.
So we last caught Batman/ Bruce Wayne fighting for his life inside the Batcave which has been invaded by Talons sent by the nefarious Court of Owls the Illuminati-esque "rulers" of Gotham City.
It was during this time that Batman had Alfred send the call to the Bat-Family to protect the Court's intended targets. These are the leaders and the important people including Batgirl's father Commissioner Jim Gordon. The last page we see in Batman # 8 was Batman wearing a new armor to fend off the Talon's attacks.
The latest issue continues that awesome battle inside the Batcave where Bruce Wayne tells a story about the owls and the bats under the Wayne Manor. During this time, Batman gets trounced by these Owl/Ninjas nearly killing him.
The critters almost kill Batman until Wayne decides to go and sic his "pet" T-Rex on the Talons...
He even lets the dinosaur go and stomp a few of these invaders...
Batman reaches his target - Lincoln March only to find him near death and with a piece of vital information which can turn the tide of this war for Gotham City. Batman's last words were pretty bad-ass if you ask me.
I cannot wait for the next issue of this New 52 title.
