Green Lantern # 9 Spoilers - Indigo-1 is a Murderer

Like the title for the post? Well you got to believe it. DC Comics' Green Lantern # 9 just came out this week and it had some sweet revelations about the mysterious Indigo Tribe.

In this latest issue written by Geoff Johns with art by Doug Mahnke, we get to see Hal Jordan confront his newly transformed friend and mentor Sinestro.  Last issue's cliffhanger ending featured Thaal Sinestro wearing the traditional suit of the Indigo Tribe including the staff.

Jordan manages to escape into the forest after a few close calls in the battle between the Indigos and an obviously weakened Jordan.

In the forest, Hal meets Natromos, the founding fathers of the Indigo Tribe. The guy also explains that he created the corps together with Abin Sur to prepare for the Blackest Night which is a no-no for DC because they cannot seem to explain how 'Night occurred in the New 52 Universe.

Meanwhile in another part of the galaxy, the Guardians are looking not only for Sinestro but also for the missing Book of Black last seen a few issues ago. Upon finding that the star guy did not know where Sinestro kept the book, the guardians kill him.

Starstorm gets the short end of the stick after proving useless to the Guardians
Natromos continues to explain that after rescuing the planet Nok the both of them discover the Central power battery for Indigo light (known for COMPASSION). Abin and Nat decide to forge the first ring and brings in Iroque to become Indigo-1.

Did he just say Sur had a daughter? And Indigo-1 killed said daughter?

It is also revealed that the Tribe was created to battle the Guardians once they go mad (which is exactly happening after War of the Green Lanterns).

There were a few juicy details in the issue but I'm going to have to force you to buy because its interesting. Not AWESOME but very intriguing.

Oh and the end was a whopper but again you have to find out what happens (and partly because I've run out of time to post the last page of the book)...

Good job to the GL team on this. I'm officially back on track with the book.
