Hellboy in Hell # 1 - Welcome Back Mike and Red

It's been awhile since we last saw Hellboy in any of the Dark Horse books but this week ends all that as we get to find out what happened to red after his 'death' in "Hellboy in Hell".

Also this is the first time in years that Mike Mignola (welcome back Mike)...



In this new story, Hellboy returns from the dead after killing a dragon in his last volume (which I believe was "The Wild Hunt"). This is ofcourse much to the behest of dear old Baba Yaga...

Readers also find out where exactly red is thanks to some commentary by the mysterious Sir Edward...

Knowing that they try to make their escape but then Hellboy falls down the cliff where he encounters the very dead Eligos (last seen in Hellboy: The Wild Hunt)...

Who then proceeds to whup Red's ass...

Edward and Hellboy manage to escape to a different place but Eligos manages to follow them. Edward casts a spell which sends Hellboy to a different place while he and Eligos fight in this old abandoned house, with Edward hoping to kill Eligos. 


Meanwhile Hellboy is sent to a deserted street where a puppet show loosely based on "A Christmas Carol" is playing ending with what seems to be the ghost of Christmas past coming to fly off with Hellboy.
