Ultimate Comics Ultimates # 19 Spoilers - Who is Iron Patriot?

The cover for Ultimate Comics The Ultimates # 19 presents a rather intriguing cover featuring the ultimate debut of the "Iron Patriot" armor.

Originally, I thought that this was going to be President Captain America's new spanking armor but apparently its not.

Find out the identity of the Iron Patriot after the cut.

So apparently in this universe, it's actually Tony Stark aka Iron Man that dons the Iron Patriot armor instead of Norman Osborn (who's very much dead in this reality together with Peter Parker).

Another interesting plot unfolding in The Ultimates is Thor's recruitment in finding the other infinity gems. In this reality it's four gems as opposed to the 616 thats got six. Sue Storm formerly of the Fantastic Four is instructed by SHIELD to find the last gem with the help of Thor. Sadly, Thor is still mourning over the death of his son.

Oh and it doesn't help that Thor also got a tongue lashing from Modi's mother Hela, when the former brought Modi's dead body into the realm of the dead.

Yeah, when an Asgardian death goddess who also happens to be your baby momma threatens you then curses you for all eternity, you really should mope around and be whiny. It gives you a very good excuse.

Also in the works here (which makes The Ultimates # 19 such an important read) is the appearance of a familiar albeit different character. It's the WHITE Nick Fury...

This caucasian Nick Fury also has another name and that's Scorpio. Which reverts us back to the question, "What is a white Nick Fury doing in the Ultimate U? Isn't this reality supposed to be off limits for non-African American Furys?"

This has got to be the most interesting story beat for The Ultimates. I'm also sure that Samuel L. Jackson Nick Fury's got something to countermand David Hasselhoff Nick Fury aka Scorpio.

One last thing, there's also talk of a new team seeing that most of the core members of The Ultimates have their own thing going on at the moment. We see our first hint at this while Black Widow 2 (Monica Chang) recruits the injured, Ultimate version of Cassie Lang.

It's this appearance of Cassie that makes us miss the original Young Avengers team and also at the same time wish that Cassie didn't die towards the end of Avengers Childrens Crusade.
