- Sarah Geronimo was cute here. Ok not in every scene but for most scenes she's still cute. There were some scenes which showed that she's awkwardly trying to show a hint of sexiness. You can see that it's there but her goody-goody image prevents her from really breaking out.
- As Laida Magtalas, it hurt to see her in the first act. Her personality there was to sum it, long fingernails running on a blackboard. It was so painful to hurt that I was cringing in some scenes. really! Obviously it's part of the story but thats the way I saw it. Towards the second and third act, we get back our Laida.
- As always, John Lloyd Cruz is Mr. McDreamy. After three movies, Cruz can still channel arrogant bastard mixed smoothly with Mr. Rico Suave.
- The whole world moved on after we last saw Laida and Miggy, which I think is a good thing. Dante Rivero's character died. Al Tantay and Irma Adlawan's characters went through a rough patch. And yes, as it was advertised, nag-break din si Laida and Miggy.
- One of the strong points here in the film was the war of the exes with Laida and Miggy feuding in the office with most of the returning characters caught in the middle with comedic results. So many quotable quotes and laugh-a-moment scenes during the early parts of the movie.
- Joross Gamboa and Gio Alvarez did wonders with their characters here. It's good that they do so because their characters spiced up everything. Heck even Matet De Leon managed to elicit a laugh or two in the movie.
- OH GOD THE DRAMA! Pinoys are notorious for our love of drama and 'It Takes' definitely barks up that tree. You'll never see the end of this. There's the drama between Miggy and Laida, Laida and her dad, Miggy and his siblings, Miggy and Bela. I'd usually say I hate the drama, but in this instance, I'm going 'THANK YOU FOR THE DRAMA'.
- Isabelle Daza is a dream here. Statuesque and pleasing on the eyes, Gloria Diaz's daughter is beauty queen material. Sadly, her acting's dry (which I kinda expected). She still does look pretty especially during the 'kabugan' scene in FlipPage, which in essence was her 'crowning glory of awesome' in the whole movie.
- Humor is another thing that kept the film going. Between awkward moments for the main characters, all the teasing and flirting, the punchlines delivered by 'Zoila and Friends', you'll laugh here in 'It Takes'.
- Lastly, tangna napaka-stylish ni John Lloyd especially that scene in New York. That guy showed in this film that he is the benchmark for style and trendiness for the endomorphic males.
- MORAL LESSON GALORE. Happy endings are what we make of it. It's not so bad to say sorry; Man up when you screw up. There's always room for second chances.
- SPOILER ALERT! The airport proposal scene was rather unique and cute. The wedding vows was a bit of a downer and became dragging. The bed scene (yes, there's a bed scene) was nice, again because we get to see a different side for Sarah G.
Need more proof of the wedding? Eto pang isa....
- Overall, the film is super cute. I recommend that you watch it, as it's a good movie. It's also nice to have something Pinoy before the deluge of Summer blockbusters begin. It's a nice thought as well to know na sulit ang pera because of the TRT (Total Running Time) for the film.
