My Chemical Romance Calls it Quits,

Sad news for fans of My Chemical Romance as the band has taken to their website to announce their disbandment.

Cover done by Becky Cloonan for Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys
Here's what their official statement goes as posted on their official website:

"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.
My Chemical Romance"

Shucks thats really too bad, I was really digging their songs from all the old albums. Heck I had Danger Days on repeat for a whole month when it was released. It's a pretty amazing concept album. That album even had such amazing promotional materials...

The music videos were also a fanboy treat as the band managed to have Grant Morrison appear as their main nemesis. Too bad the rest of the band gets vaporized towards the end of the last music video, SING.

There's also the planned comic book which will be written by vocalist Way (who also did Umbrella Academy) together with Becky Cloonan (Demo).

I sure will miss this band.
