What is Assassin's Creed Rising Phoenix?

This little logo for Ubisoft's 'Assassin's Creed Rising Phoenix' has been sitting around my computer for days now. After grabbing a copy of this, I wasn't quite sure how to spin this story. And that's the basic point. Nobody knew what it was, or what format it would be. 

Not a 100% sure but I think it was Kotaku that speculated that since this was from Ubisoft Digital Arts, it was likely that the Rising Phoenix project would be a film version much like how Assassin's Creed Legacy was connected to AC2. 

But that's not the case anymore...

Game Informer reports today the true nature of AC Rising Phoenix and it's got something to do with Assassins Creed IV Black Flag.

It would seem that this actually a game, a PS Vita game, that will be released three weeks before Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. Sounds pretty interesting, the last PS Vita AC game, Assassin's Creed Liberation was said to be pretty good so hopefully that same can be said for this new Vita game. It also seems like I should be saving money to get a Vita as well.
