Cumberbitches Should Get Ready for IDW's Star Trek Khan

Reports are coming in that IDW will be releasing a new miniseries entitled Star Trek: Khan which will feature Benedict Cumberbatch's Khan during the alluded 'Eugenics War' from Star Trek Into Darkness.

The new project will be written by Mike Johnson with art by Claudia Balboni. Even better is the fact that Into Darkness writer Roberto Orci will be overseeing the project to tie-in accurately with the events of the JJ Abrams helmed sequel.

Star Trek: Khan will be released in October. Gotta remind myself to reserve a copy for review despite me not being a HUGE fan of Cumberbatch.

Preorder Star Trek Into Darkness 3D Blu-Ray to Set your Own Starfleet Phaser to Stun

Pre-ordering the Star Trek Into Darkness 3D Blu-Ray bundle from Amazon won't just make your geek cabinet shine, it'll also give you your very own Starfleet phaser.

The bundle will include a 3D blu-ray version, the standard version plus the starfleet phaser itself. It'll set you back for anywhere between $99 to $79 so be wary of that young cadet.

Sadly there's no release date but the folks at Collider thinks that this'll be out around September 2013.

There's an Advance Screening of Star Trek 2 in a Laguna Bound Bus

Was amused that the bus I got on was playing movies close to home. However the biggest surprise was when the bus conductor popped in this DVD.

Yeah so apparently they've already shown Star Trek Into Darkness months before the release date. Talk about a bad case of 'advance copies'. I was actually expecting that the movie attached to the image above would be the first Star Trek film directed by J.J. Abrams but it was actually.... Wrath of Khan.

I smell foreshadowing somewhere along these lines.

The much anticipated sequel to "Star Trek" entitled "Star Trek Into Darkness" is very pretty to look at and to whet our appetites before it's release within the year, here are several new hi-res images from the film.

Mind you some of the images have already appeared in the first trailer for the film. Still it's a pretty cool spectacle.
