Ivan Reis and Joe Prado do the Variant Cover for Earth 2 # 1

Here's a quick look at Ivan Reis and Joe Prado's variant cover for Earth 2 # 1 which will be written by James Robinson and art by Nicola Scott.

The cover is a re-envisioning of sorts for what has transpired in the current story arc for Justice League minus of course the other characters and retaining only the DC big three which are Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. 

So this is going to look like a great looking book together with Batman Inc. which will be again written by Grant Morrison and his old posse. 

So let's analyze this a bit starting with Batman. This iteration of Batman is seen taking out a parademon with  what seems to look like an arnis stick. Is this a clue that will point out that the current Batman in Earth 2 will be an older Bruce Wayne or an Dick Grayson.

I'm thinking that this is still the Clark Kent without the armor/ costume but definitely sporting a different kind of costume. Of course there are still a few who would like to believe that this is not really Clark but rather the modern Superboy, Conner Kent.

Since we're talking about legacy characters, we might be seeing either a younger Princess Diana or an adult version of Donna Troy. 

Either way, this seems to be an interesting project and since this will be the only hint that the JSA or Justice Society of America existed in this new reality, I'm really anticipating what the heck would happen for this book. Plus, this will be a redeeming book of sorts for writer James Robinson who did that awful, awful book - Justice League - Cry for Justice.
