Of course, it doesn't end well as Beast is attacked by whatever is killing him and the old school X-Men escape using the JGSHL Blackbird.
In between these moments however are cool small, character moments such as Wolverine's reaction to getting Jean's scent...
... his subsequent attack and first time getting pwned by Jean...
... and the second time he gets his ass handed to him by the young Phoenix bearer.
There's also comedy gold in the timing and illustration of the meeting between modern Iceman and the silver age Bobby Drake...
I'm surprised he didn't even notice a walking talking man made of snow/ ice together with Hank when he returned to the present time.
