Spoilers for BATGIRL # 16 and BATMAN AND ROBIN # 16

Interesting that both Batman and Robin # 16 as well as Batgirl # 16 ends in a similar fashion.

So anyway, I completely forgot that I have this:

Check out the spoilers after the cut.

In Batgirl # 16, Barbara Gordon manages to escape the clutches of the Joker in this "Death of the Family" tie-in. Things however become complicated with the appearance of Barbara's brother, the demented James Gordon Jr. At the end of the issue readers are presented with this:

Meanwhile over at Batman and Robin by Peter J. Tomasi and Pat Gleason, Robin gets manhandled by the Joker. The Clown even manages to make Robin believe that he has actually 'killed' his father, Bruce Wayne. Later at an undisclosed location, the Joker makes an appearance in this style:

Makes me wonder how the Joker managed to be at the same place at the same time. Could it be that he brings along whatevers inside the platter wherever he goes?

Also, I'm really, really curious as to what's inside that platter. It's pretty obvious that there's something gruesome inside. I just don't want to believe that the Joker has killed Alfred Pennyworth and had his severed placed in a silver platter. If you think about it, maybe it really is him.

God I hope not.
