That's after being manhandled and thrown into a compactor with Fox a few pages earlier. It was in the same compactor that Bruce Wayne first tries out the Batman Beyond suit (which certainly confirms that there's a possibility for an appearance of Terry McGinnis related story in the near future, or at the very least a nod to his parents' existence).
The Clayface version of Bruce Wayne on the other hand makes his escape after what he did last issue and when trying to hide out in Wayne's office, he gets sucker punched by Batman in a new suit.
Long story short, Bats successfully catches Basil Marko by programing the office's panic room to key in on Marko's DNA which effectively locked him out completely. Before they 'take him away' however, Clayface makes one last pun to disarm Batman, morphing into the freshly dead and soon to be revived Damian Wayne.
Back in the cave, Bruce relates the story to Alfred and makes an admission...
