Mind you this isn't going to be an in depth review but rather me just going crazy and raving about how good the food is not to mention how affordable their prices are.
So let's begin. Currently there are two branches of 50's Diner branches in Baguio. One is located somewhere near Teacher's Village and a stone's throw away from SM Baguio. The other is well, I completely forgot the address but it's somewhere more quiet and quaint.
From the outside, you'll already get this 50's vibe off of the diner [thus the name]. Inside, it gets even better. We went to the place after posing and soaking up the Baguio atmosphere. Here's what that other branch looks like.

When you open the menu, there's like a ton of different choices for you to choose from, which is actually a good thing. Here's a peak at their menu:
I totally loved the ambience here; from the pink neon lights to the blaring sounds of Elvis Presley and the Platters right down to all those movie posters plastered around the place.
So much win for Vivian Leigh and Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO!
I was already sold with the jukebox. Sadly, it's for display and no longer operational.
Now on to the big guns, the food. Two consecutive lunches/ brunches I tried out different stuff. Pam stuck with the breakfast but I'm always looking for a good challenge and boy was I challenged. Here's what I had for brunch the first day. I introduce you to the famed 'Guys in the Hood'
So yes, it's chicken, pork chop, veggies, a slice of pizza. You also get the choice between fries or rice. I picked fries.
Another look, this time cooked by too much lighting and a flash that'll make you see spots.
It struck me that this Diner might've originated from Texas, because you know what they say, everything is big in Texas. Check out their Clubhouse Sandwich.
When Day 2 of our Baguio adventure arrived, Pam and I went back ready for an all-out war. This is what we got for lunch. [Mind you we were about to travel back to Manila, so we really needed a big meal because it was a 6-hour road trip]
Swimmers
It's their seafood special. It's got fish fillet, squid bits and shrimp over a large heap of rice. This one's less than Php 200.
Chicken Cordon Bleau
Honestly, that has got to be the biggest serving of Cordon Bleau I have ever seen and that's like a hundred and fifty only.
Gangsta Gangsta
Aand because I was feeling gangsta that day, no not the jeje variety but the mafiosa/ Vongola selection, I decided to have this for lunch.
Needless to say, the food over at 50's Diner kicked my ass whether I'm proud to admit it or not. Which also warrants a return trip when we go back to Baguio City.
