Two Posters Surface for "Out of the Furnace"

Relativity Media has released two one-sheet art for its heart-pounding thriller “Out of the Furnace” starring Christian Bale which can be viewed below.

From Scott Cooper, the critically-acclaimed writer and director of the Oscar-winning “Crazy Heart,” comes a gripping and gritty drama about family, fate, circumstance, and justice. Russell Baze (Bale) has a rough life: he works a dead-end blue collar job at the local steel mill by day, and cares for his terminally ill father by night. When Russell’s brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) returns home from serving time in Iraq, he gets lured into one of the most ruthless crime rings in the Northeast and mysteriously disappears. The police fail to crack the case, so - with nothing left to lose - Russell takes matters into his own hands, putting his life on the line to seek justice for his brother.

J. Law for the win!

The film was directed by David O. Russell, the same guy who directed films Three Kings, Silver Linings Playbook and The Fighter (which I have yet to see).

You know there's a popculture quip/ reference somewhere here. Ah yes, "remember that movie where Batman was a crime boss looking guy with Mystique and Lois Lane wearing very revealing clothing and Rocket Raccoon and Hawkeye looked like they stepped out of the set of "Starsky and Hutch".

Blergh. corny I know.

Remember that scene in The Dark Knight Rises where Bane injures Batman's vertebrae when executing a backbreaker beneath Lucius Fox's secret lab? Yeah I know it was short and sweet. This could be the reason why the folks at DC Collectibles bring us this awesome looking TDKR statue.

Okay I'll try to avoid major spoilers as much as I can but to really produce a good review, one needs to often times touch the sacred "spoiler" grounds. But I'll tread carefully.

New FAN MADE The Dark Knight Rises Posters Prominently Feature the Bat

People are really starting to talk about Batman's new ride known as "the Bat" since the arrival of the new clip; I've held judgment on this ride but not that it gets prominently featured in this new batch of posters (UNOFFICIAL BY THE WAY AS WHAT MY FRIENDS FROM WARNER IS SAYING - READ FAN MADE), I'm definitely thinking that it was a cool trade off for those old Tumblers.

First Look: Kotobukiya + ARTFX Batman from The Dark Knight Rises

Here's a first look at the Kotobukiya + ARTFX The Dark Knight Rises Statue featuring a very bad-ass Batman.

Here's what DC and Kotobukiya had to say about this fine looking statue:

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! The Dark Knight is back! Kotobukiya is proud to present a new ARTFX Statue based on the upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises. The third part of a trilogy by Christopher Nolan, this summer’s “DKR” pits Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne against both Bane and Catwoman. To celebrate that release you can get the newest incarnation of the big screen hero for your shelf with Batman -The Dark Knight Rises! The Bat was reinvented with 2005’s Batman Begins, and its two sequels have further evolved the Dark Knight. Featuring a beautifully detailed sculpt recreating Batman’s specific appearance in the new film, this new version of the character faithfully recreates the hero’s intricate armored bat-suit with cape and cowl. Standing ready for action, the world’s greatest detective oversees Gotham City from the top of a rocky landscape. Staring down his enemies with his trademark scowl, Batman holds his flowing cape in front of him with his left hand while his right wields one of his wonderful toys; with interchangeable parts you can display him with either a grapple gun or his EMP rifle! Sculpted by MIC, Batman The Dark Knight Rises towers over 15 inches tall (1/6th scale) on a rocky display base that includes a hidden light-up bat symbol! Perfect for both long-time Batman collectors as well as fans of the new movie, this Dark Knight looks great on his own or displayed next to other dynamic Kotobukiya Batman statues.

Available November 2012.
