The Teaser Trailer for Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR is Out

Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines just sent out a link to the teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR.

Synopsis: Interstellar” brings to the screen a script based on the combination of an original idea by Christopher Nolan and an existing script by his brother, Jonathan Nolan. The new script chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.



The film features a prestigious cast that includes Matthew McConaughey (“Magic Mike”), Academy Award® winner Anne Hathaway (“Les Miserables,” “The Dark Knight Rises”), Academy Award® nominee Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Bill Irwin (“Rachel Getting Married”), Academy Award® nominee John Lithgow (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), Academy Award® nominee Casey Affleck (“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”), David Gyasi (“Cloud Atlas”), Wes Bentley (“The Hunger Games”), Mackenzie Foy (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 and 2”), Timothée Chalamet (TV’s “Homeland”), Topher Grace (“Spider-Man 3”), David Oyelowo (“Jack Reacher”), Academy Award® winner Ellen Burstyn (“The Exorcist”), and Academy Award® winner Michael Caine (“The Dark Knight” Trilogy).

The Dark Knight Rises Advance Review

Did "The Dark Knight Rises" deliver what was hyped to be a good, solid and "realistic" Batman story from director Christopher Nolan? Read on to find out about all the good stuff from the film from Warner Bros.

Okay I'll try to avoid major spoilers as much as I can but to really produce a good review, one needs to often times touch the sacred "spoiler" grounds. But I'll tread carefully.

Movie Review: Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

Reviewing the film "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" on IMAX which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzman and Michael Caine from Warner Bros.

“JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND” EMBARKS IN IMAX 3D

Believe the impossible, discover the incredible as New Line Cinema's “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” embarks on an adventure of a lifetime in IMAX 3D!  The film will be shown in local IMAX 3D cinemas, as well as digital 3D and regular theatres starting Thursday, Feb. 2.

Starring Dwayne Johnson, Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Hutcherson and Michael Caine, “Journey 2” takes moviegoers on a fun and fantastic new adventure to parts unknown, a place so remote it has lain hidden for centuries … and, when found, is almost impossible to escape.

Upon seeing the script for “Journey 2,” director Brad Peyton says, “I never imagined doing it small.  Right away, I knew it had to involve land, sea and air, with creatures, caves, storms, underwater battles and aerial chases, and all of it set against the most incredible, breathtaking terrain.  That meant utilizing the latest and best technology, to deliver something special in the 3D realm that the prequel ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ helped to establish.”

In 2008 that film broke ground as the first narrative feature to employ the Fusion System, a sophisticated digital 3D camera rig developed by James Cameron and cinematographer Vince Pace, and subsequently used on “Avatar.”  Not surprisingly, the “Journey 2” filmmakers returned to the Cameron Pace Group for state-of-the-art strategies and equipment to capture the depth and scope Peyton wanted to achieve in a range of real-world environments.

This is definitely one of the movies that you dare not miss especially in IMAX. I really loved the first one and now that The Rock...has come back... to movies for 2012 starting with Journey 2, things are really looking up for this franchise. 

Also let me call it now, the third film either be "The Lost World" or a loose adaptation of Verne's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" oh wait, they're already developing a new live action flick for that so scratch that idea. 

Anyway, this and Chronicle are the movies to watch this week.
