Is Chris Claremont Writing a Nightcrawler Solo Book?

Marvel Comics has released a new one-word teaser connoting the famous SFX that Nightcrawler's makes whenever he teleports.

Nobody's talking yet but I'm really hoping that this would be the case since the creative team attached to this project is big bad X-Daddy himself Chris Claremont together with Todd Nauck

Bout time they did something with both Claremont (who apparently is in Marvel's payroll as an exclusive for the longest time) and Nightcrawler who is set to return at the end of the first story arc for Jason Aaron's AMAZING X-MEN

Marvel Sends out a Bloodied Wedding Invitation

... And the aforementioned bloodied wedding invitation also happens to be a single puzzle piece to a really big photo, which perhaps contains the identity of the bride and groom. Here's the official poster.

A friend of mine stated that this could be a marriage between Havok and Janet Van Dyne aka The Wasp. That I could totally get behind because I ardently ship those two. :)

The Batman Eternal Teaser Commemorates Thanksgiving

It's Thanksgiving once again for the good folks at the United States of America and what better way to celebrate the founding of this 'New World' than giving DC's caped crusader a new world (and thanksgiving dinner) of his own as seen in this teaser for the upcoming weekly BATMAN ETERNAL

I swear the image was too big so I had to do some major crop-age. Anyway, the photo at the bottom shows us the entirety of the teaser which will probably leave you with more questions.

Let the speculation begin.

Oh wait, here are some of my thoughts.

The purple hood - SPOILER. Definitely Stephanie Brown
Goth Person - probably a badly drawn Harper Row
Blonde Guy - I bet it's Talon.

Who Will Be Revived in Brian Wood's X-Men Book?

Brian Wood's X-Men book has always been a shining beacon of hope for everything good about the X-Men. Now it looks like it's going to wallow in the resurrection pit for a while thanks to this new teaser.

Artist Kris Anka will be onboard to crhronicle this 'resurrection' and hopefully, it's not really Jean Grey...

I'm tired Marvel! Please. Let us X-Fans have this moment to enjoy the return of Nightcrawler in Amazing X-Men, we really don't need Jean (if it is Jean) yet.

Are the Avengers Going Global?

A new teaser from Marvel Comics for their upcoming panels in NYCC shows the word GLOBAL with a green hue.

And more importantly it boasts of a stellar creative team.

So yeah, we got Jonathan Hickman, Nick Spencer (who's doing Secret Avengers) and Stefano Caselli who was also working with Avengers prior to INFINITY.

So what could this be? I've been reading the comments from various groups and it feels like they're on to something.

- It could either be a new expansion for the Avengers i.e. taking in new members from other superteams from around the world like Alpha Flight or Big Hero 6.

- It could be a Hulk-centric storyline which is kinda dumb in my opinion.

- It could tie up to whatever will happen in the next Avengers storyarc featuring a renegade planet on a collision course with Earth (which would be interesting and solicited as well).

Either way, NYCC is just around the corner so let's just play the waiting game.

New Marvel Now Teasers Point to the TRIAL OF JEAN GREY

Two new Marvel Now 2 teasers seems to point out that the rumored Guardians of the Galaxy / X-Men crossover is good to go.

The aforementioned crossover will be entitled "Trial of Jean Grey" and will most likely rely on whatever the heck happens in "X-Men: Battle of the Atom".

Personally I don't think that this is going to be just a two-issue thing. Knowing how Bendis wants to drag stuff around and fill issues with "talkies" this could go for around two issues of All New X-Men and two issues for GOTG with Stuart Immonen and Sara Picheli respectively.

New Teaser Image for Marvel's INFINITY

Something big is going to happen in December or at least that's what Marvel wants us to believe.

BleedingCool wants to think that this is in direct relation to the bombs that were dropped in INFINITY # 2 while ComicBookNews wants to believe that this has got something to do with the apparent transition of Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales to the 616 Universe after the end of CATACLYSM.

Personally though I want to go with this being a direct offshoot of Black Bolt's information. It just jibes right that way.

Steve McNiven Joins UNCANNY AVENGERS when Things Look Bad

Amidst all the buzz in San Diego, a cute little teaser appeared for Marvel's UNCANNY AVENGERS. Looks like Guardians of the Galaxy artist Steve McNiven is moving over to Rick Remender's book.

This teaser presents something that's been brewing with the team ever since it was founded, the unstable relationship between Rogue and Scarlet Witch.

Steve McNiven's art is the shiznit so I'm definitely putting this issue on the pull list as long as Steve McNiven is working on the book. Oh and is it just me or did Logan slash Wanda's face off?

This comes out November 2013 folks.

Luke Cage Returns to the Avengers with Mighty Teaser

Not going to be outdone by DC's announcement, Marvel Comics released a new teaser dubbed as 'Mighty' together with the reveal that Luke Cage will be returning to the fold while the cosmic war known as 'Infinity' happens.

From the battlefields of Infinity comes a new team to protect Earth! With the Avengers light-years away in space, contending with the Builders and Thanos’ marauders ransacking the Earth, who will stand in defense of mankind?"

We also get the hashtag to use for all Infinity related posts, discussions and topics with #marvelinfinity.

There are a total of six different slots for this new team with Cage taking the first slot. If you'll notice it also follows the pattern that Jonathan Hickman has been doing in Avengers with a complex graph featuring each member's icon.

Who are my bets for this new team which may or may not be the Mighty Avengers... So far the obvious choices are Iron Fist (Danny Rand, Luke's bestfriend) and Jewel (Jessica Jones-Cage).

Who are the People in Marvel's Stark Seven?

Marvel Comics just released a new teaser for the upcoming 'Secret Origin' of Tony Stark over in Iron Man written by Kieron Gillen with art by Dale Eaglesham. This is what the teaser image looked like:

The issue will be out next month and features a rather eclectic cast of characters. I'm actually having a blast figuring out who these guys are and so far here's my list for Gillen's secret team.

Marvel Making Fun of DC with Now 52 Teasers

What the heck is Marvel Comics doing with their latest batch of teasers? Beats me. But I do like to comment on some of them and share online speculations.

Just to play Captain Obvious, the teaser features a bunch of names of Marvel Characters forming the number 1. At the bottom is the word "first". Bleedingcool did the counting for us and the total number is 52!!!

The next teaser is much more obvious...

Justice League of America Gearing Up

Here's a teaser for the upcoming New 52 book Justice League of America book which will be written by Geoff Johns with art by David Finch.

I wonder why they didn't include Steve Trevor in this teaser. Hmmmm. So If you still don't know who the members of Justice League of America are here's the rundown: Catwoman, Katana, Vibe, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Star Girl and Hawkman.

Age of Ultron Teaser Features One Eyed Captain America

Nothing beats the usual spoilers that Marvel releases and we see in this new teaser for AGE OF ULTRON that it can still generate buzz.

So what's wrong with this picture.

We have a one-eyed Captain America and Cyclops. A female Captain Marvel (or is that Nova?) a new costume for Star Lord. A battle damaged Thing and a Hulk with half his body seemingly burned.

Oh and then if you look closely at Cap you'll see that he see's to have been scarred by three claws indicative of a brawl with Wolverine that went awry. Wolverine in this art by Brandon Peterson is sticking back to his old uniform. Cyclops follows his son Cable in the fashion sense with metallic arms and hands and brandishing a gun. He's also one eyed and also looks like he literally got burned. Dr. Strange also appears to be wearing his old uniform as well (which we all kind of miss).

Marvel Aims to Fire the Superior Spider-Man

Marvel Comics has shared a new teaser image for the next story arc for the "Superior Spider-Man" and it's got the the words "FIRED" strewn across in a bold font face.

This also marks the official return of Humberto Ramos into the fold as we're going to be seeing more of Ryan Stegman's art for the first story arc for Superior. Writer Dan Slott is still in of course. As for the Avengers at the background, word on the street is that Spidey-Ock will be relieved of his Avengers membership card. Could it be because they've already figured out that something is wrong with the Amazing Arachnid or it could be that Octavius does something terrible that the Avengers can't possibly turn a blind eye.

Either way we all have to wait for April. And yeah, Superior Spider-Man still sucks balls. Bring back Peter Parker ya jerks!

Speculation: Age of Apocalypse Crossing Over with 616 X-Men

A new teaser featuring a fight between Wolverine and the AOA (Age of Apocalypse) Nightcrawler who also happens to his former teammate in Uncanny X-Force.

I'm calling it now, the X-Men will be facing the X-Terminated team from David Lapham's alternate reality, kick ass book. Pretty obvious too.

Marvel Teases Uncanny X-Men Relaunch

Well it's not an official tease in the strictest sense but it is pretty obvious in the way it looks.

So it seems like we'll have roughly around four X-Men books next year. This being Wolverine and the X-Men (with Jason Aaron and Nick Bradshaw), All New X-Men (with Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen), X-Men Legacy (with Sy Spurrier and Tan Eng Kuat) and now this with Bendis and Chris Bachalo
