Wolverine and the X-Men # 23 - the Hellfire School Begins

I'm interested in what Jason Aaron has in store for Wolverine and the X-Men. His current story arc featuring Frankenstein's monster and his murderous circus squaring off against the X-Men in Wolverine and the X-Men # 23.

More spoilers after the cut and a surprise villain returns.


In the opening scenes, Idie tangles against Frank with Max watching from the background. Meanwhile outside, the X-Men finally snap out of the spell that's being holding them hostage since issue #20...

Now that they're pretty much free from the witch's spell, the team decides to wreak unholy hell on these creepy zombiefied killer clowns. Oh and here's a variation of the classic Fastball Special courtesy of Hank and Bobby.

So anyway the battle's won and the bad guys have all disappeared including Frankenstein who was nabbed at the very last minute by the witch Calcabrina. 

Later on we find out who Calcabrina's boss really is...

Boom! Azazel is officially back and just in time for the opening of the Hellfire Academy. Oh and this might be where we get to see Professor Mystique and Sauron.
