New Photos for Justice League: War

DC and Warner has released several stills from thier upcoming animated release JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR and they certainly hypes up the release of this direct-to-DVD film.

Here's the official press release for the animated film:

“When the powerful Darkseid and his massive, relentless forces invade Earth, a group of previously unaligned super heroes – misunderstood and, in some cases, hunted by the authorities – discover the only way to fend off the attack will be to work together as a cohesive unit. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Shazam and, in his origin story, Cyborg combine their respective talents in an all-out battle to save the planet. Based on the 2012 graphic novel, “Justice League: Origin,” by Geoff Johns & Jim Lee, Justice League: War provides a glance into the world before the Justice League was created, and offers the initial animated incarnation of DC Entertainment’s “The New 52.”

The celebrity laden cast features primetime television stars Jason O’Mara (Terra Nova, Vegas, Life on Mars) as Batman, Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs) as Flash, Justin Kirk (Weeds) as Green Lantern, Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds) as Cyborg, Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible III, Gone Baby Gone) as Wonder Woman, Alan Tudyk (Suburgatory, 42, Serenity) as Superman, Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) as Shazam, and Rocky Carroll (NCIS) as Silas Stone. On the villainous side, popular voice actor Steve Blum (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox) provides the voice of Darkseid, and Bruce Thomas (Legally Blonde, Army of Darkness) gives voice to Desaad.

Geek Fashion Black Adam and Shazam Hoodies

Haven't done Geek Fashion for a while now so here we go. The design was hatched by Seventhirtytwo on Deviantart and I'd like to focus particularly on his Black Adam/ Captain Marvel (Shazam) design; partly due to the Black Adam A.I. kicking my ass over and over again in the iOS version of Injustice: Gods Among Us

Without further ado, here are the hoodies patterned after the classic Fawcett City hero and villain.

The old Wizard will definitely be proud.

Oh and yeah, these hoodies aren't available anywhere. You might have to create them yourself.

It's during this encounter between the two teams that Dr. Light's powers decides to go haywire (which was allegedly caused by being near Superman, who is a living, breathing solar battery).

New Look for Shazam for INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US

A quick look at Shazam/ Captain Marvel for the upcoming game "Injustice: Gods Among Us".

Obviously they're going with the whole tubing all over the costume look together with the hood on his head and the cape. I can't say that I'm not impressed but really the linings and unnecessary lines just throw me off here.

Black Adam Appears in Justice League # 10

Just posting the final page for the Shazam backup story from Justice League # 10 featuring Black Adam.

It's pretty obvious that Teth-Adam will be working with Dr. Sivana in the near future. Right now, lets just marvel at the somewhat new costume the anti-hero has been seen wearing.

Also gotta hand it to Geoff Johns and Gary Frank for such a great backup story running concurrently with the main Justice League story.

Gary Frank's Preview Pages for Curse of Shazam on Justice League

DC Comics has shared through Newsarama two preview pages done by artist Gary Frank for the upcoming "Curse of Shazam" backup which will be appearing in the pages of Justice League together with writer Geoff Johns.

While sticking with the concept of having an alter ego in the form of Billy Batson, the new Captain Marvel won't be called as such, rather he's going to be known in the New 52 universe as Shazam...
