Will Nick Fury Die in Captain America: The Winter Soldier?

The second TV spot for Marvel Studios' Captain America: The Winter Soldier is giving us the idea that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) will most likely die in the movie.

Watch TV Spot # 2 for Captain America: The Winter Soldier below:

He said it. He actually implied that Jackson's Nick Fury dies. But that didn't happen in the comic book version. Also I'm counting how many movies has Jackson appeared as Nick Fury and it doesn't make sense. :(

But truth be told, it's really unlikely that they'd be taking out Nick Fury so early in the game. Marvel knows that Fury's appearance holds cohesion for the Marvel Cinematic Universe so why are they planning to take him out? Agent Coulson's role has been diminished since Marvel's The Avengers so now more than ever we need Fury.

Still I'd watch this badboy. I'm already rooting to see "The Twins"

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 2 and distributed locally by Walt Disney Studios.

Two News Bits that Confirms Robert Redford is a Bad Guy in Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Two juicy tidbits pertaining to Robert Redford's role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. SPOILER ALERT.

So as early as now, I'm already saying this, Redford will be the new Red Skull.

Early on the production of Marvel Studios' Captain America: The Winter Soldier, actor Robert Redford was quoted saying he plays the villain for the sequel.

This week, a spoilerific toy was spotted in Toyfair 2014... It was the Red Skull (Read more about it HERE)

MTV added this comment on the inclusion of the Red Skull:

"What makes this figure suspect, though, is that it's positioned as part of the main action figure line, specifically for the sequel."

The second biggest information that practically confirms this thread comes from the musical scoring for the film. Cosmicbooknews reports that there is a bit of music in the original score for CA: TWS that goes by "Alexander Pierce is the Red Skull". (Source)

Remember this was the same with which some people found out about the appearance of Chris Evans' Steve Rogers/ Captain America in THOR: THE DARK WORLD. So there's some truth to it.

Finally, isn't it obvious that Pierce is merely a placeholder for a similar character in the comics? I'm referring to Alexander Lukin who appeared all throughout Ed Brubaker's "Winter Soldier" arc in Captain America.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 2 from Walt Disney Studios Philippines and Columbia Pictures.

PREVIEW: Captain America: The Winter Soldier Minimates

Art Asylum and MTV.com has released a completed look at the Marvel minimates for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and they look cool.

Here's the breakdown of the figures that'll come along with this wave:

» Stealth Uniform Captain America with Brock Rumlow
» Classic Captain America with Winter Soldier
» Black Widow with Falcon
» Agent Sitwell with Batroc

I'm actually quite happy that they didn't go for the masked identities right off bat. Frank Grillo's Crossbones isn't even tagged as his supervillain alias but rather as his civilian name Brock Rumlow. Also I like how they managed to make Georges St. Pierre a bad ass (as Batroc) without having the ridiculous moustache and the weird mask/ google.

And yes it looks like I'll be spending money on minimates this year than any other year. And I won't be doing business locally (as there's now a voracious amount of 'collectors'). I figure I'll probably go and make House of Flair rich this year.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4 from Walt Disney Studios and Columbia Pictures.

The Winter Soldier Spotted with Captain America's Shield Foreshadowing Things?

A new still photo featuring Sebastian Stan who plays Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier has been making the rounds online and I must say. WOW!

You can check out the rest of the photos on POPGOESMANILA

I'm a big Bucky fanboy and can you just imagine how pissed off I was when Marvel decided to kill off Bucky in Fear Itself? Good thing it was all a dupe for the character and a way to push Steve Rogers back into the role of Captain America.

I definitely want to see this, not now, but in the future. Please MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) please don't kill off Bucky.

The First Trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier Now Streaming

Check out the first official trailer for Marvel Studios' Captain America: The Winter Soldier starring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, the star spangled Avenger, Captain America.

Here's the trailer:

This trailer is all about the marquee elements from this sequel. So we've got explosions, a hot chick, a mysterious villain, an old geezer who might not be who he says he is and fucking Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury again.

There are some bits of interesting stuff I've seen in the trailer:

Who's being operated on. Two guesses, it could be Nick Fury or Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson aka The Falcon.

How did Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) end up in a pretty bad shape? Could this be Philadelphia???

Mackie's Falcon really needs more red...

And that ending with Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) doing this...

is just too damn awesome...

I'm already making gifs.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be released locally on April 4, 2014 distributed by Walt Disney Studios Philippines thru Columbia Pictures.

Chris Evans is Ready to Deploy in New Captain America: The Winter Soldier Poster

Like the classic Captain America cartoon once said "Get ready for action!"

Marvel Studios has just revealed a brand new poster for its upcoming sequel, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” returns Chris Evans as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America, along with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. In addition, film icon Robert Redford has joined the all-star cast as Agent Alexander Pierce, a senior leader within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.

Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” features an outstanding supporting cast that includes Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow and Georges St-Pierre as Georges Batroc.

Rounding out the talented cast are Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, Emily VanCamp as Agent 13 and Maximiliano Hernández as Agent Jasper Sitwell.

Opening across the Philippines on 4 April 2014, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures.

Captain America's First Love Peggy Carter Gets her own Short Film

Hayley Atwell will not only appear in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She's also starring in her own MARVEL ONE SHOT entitled AGENT CARTER.

The story is set a full year after the fateful 'death' of Captain America in "The First Avenger". Carter is sent off to another military branch where she's brought down to being a desk worker. She then decides to prove that she's worthy to be a field operative once more which leads to the things you'll be seeing on the clip below. The one shot will appear with the Bluray version of Iron Man 3 among other things. Here's the clip from that MARVEL ONE SHOT.

New Captain America: The Winter Soldier Teaser Poster Already Out

Marvel Studios today released a new teaser poster for their it's upcoming film "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" which stars Chris Evans as the man in red, white and blue.

I like the appeal of a very worn out and very distraught looking shield. It's symbolic in so many levels for Steve Roger's life post-Avengers (aka Battle of New York) and post-thawing. The worn out shield could also mean him being worn out from all the bureaucracy around him. Like I said, that worn out shield is open to so many interpretation.

Official synopsis: Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.

The film stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Georges St-Pierre, Frank Grillo, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Maximiliano Hernández, Robert Redford, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Scarjo Smooching Chris Evans in the Set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier

There you have it, the answer as to whether or not Captain America goes for Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter or moves on with Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.

So not only will Captain America dump Peggy Carter who will be making an appearance in the movie, he'll also switch girlfriends from Sharon to Natasha.

I guess that means the end of Natasha's obsession over Clint Barton aka Hawkeye and the end of a potential love story between Black Widow and the Winter Soldier.

Too bad for Clint and the rest of us as we'll never get to see BUDAPEST the movie. At least he's still got some love from the Tumblr peeps as much as Loki's.

Or maybe their just pretending to be a couple to evade detection, that can't be ruled out. Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell did it in "Get Smart" so why not do the same here in Captain America 2.

Hayley Altwell Spotted in Captain America: The Winter Soldier Set

Looks like that reunion between Captain America/ Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter will be pushing through as actress Hayley Altwell was spotted in 'The Winter Soldier' set in old woman makeup.

I'm willing to bet that this will also be the very first scene between Chris Evans' Cap and Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter.

New Costume Concept Art for Captain America in 'The Winter Soldier'

I love the fact that Marvel Studios went ahead in incorporating the 'Commander Rogers' design for Captain America's costume for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. Check out the photo below to see what I'm talking about.

Now that we're talking about the WINTER SOLDIER/ Bucky Barnes, here's a close-up shot of Sebastian Stan as the new villain.

A Better Look at Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier for Captain America 2

I really hated the first leaked photo of Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier/ Bucky Barnes for Captain America: The Winter Soldier but these new photos redeemed everything.

Okay I admit the quality for this one is rather poor but you have to admit that from what you're seeing, the guys at Marvel Studios made it possible for Bucky to look just like his 616 comic book counterpart. Check out more photos after the cut...

Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier Spotted on Set

Actor Sebastian Stan was seen recently wearing his Winter Soldier duds for Marvel Studios' "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". And well, I'll reserve the comments for after the cut.

So it looks like the New Goblin Winter Soldier has finally appeared and is ready to kick the crap out of Chris Evans' Captain America. As much as I would be giddy like a schoolboy over this new photo, I'm mildly amused and wildly saddened.

New Winter Soldier Concept Art

Here's a new and improved Winter Soldier concept art featuring Bucky Barnes for Marvel Studio's Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Here's another resized version of the concept art...

Comicbook.com also shared some interesting tidbits that Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige said during his interview with Entertainment Weekly.

First Look at Anthony Mackie as the Falcon for Captain America: The Winter Soldier

There's an obvious lack of red in what actor Anthony Mackie is wearing as he joins production for Marvel Studios' Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

In the new movie he plays Sam Wilson, a SHIELD agent who will help out Chris Evan's Captain America as he battles baddies like Georges St. Pierre's Batroc and Frank Grillo's Crossbones.

New Captain America: The Winter Soldier Set Photos Hint Fight with Jasper Sitwell

Based on the new set photos from Captain America: The Winter Soldier it looks like there's animosity brewing between Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) and Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernandez).

Honestly while ScarJo looked hot in 'The Avengers", she looks horrible as Black Widow for The Winter Soldier. Maybe we really should blame her stylist for this. If there was ever going to be a competition between which hairstyle fit her the most, I'd also go on record and say that it was hair back in Iron Man 2, where she played assistant to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark.

More photos after the cut.

I tell you, there's really something off about Scarlett Johansson here. I just can't point my finger at what. Oh and before we lose track, why is she kicking Jasper Sitwell? Wasn't Sitwell (at least in the comic books) one of the good guys and one the more pronounced members of the S.H.I.E.L.D.?

More of Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson on the Set of Captain America 2

Paparrazos were able to take a couple of photos of Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson from the set of Marvel Studios' Captain America: The Winter Soldier starring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/ Captain America.
