Forever Evil # 4 Spoiler - Who Joins Lex Luthor and Co.

There's a surprise addition to the Lex Luthor's gang of villains in Forever Evil and it's a pretty impressive addition if I may say so. So here we go, FOREVER EVIL # 4 Spoilers.

It begins with a foreshadowing during a conversation between Batman and Catwoman inside the Batcave.

Forever Evil (2013-) 004-004

Then Batman & Catwoman encounter Lex Luthor who are trying to break into a S.T.A.R. Labs compound to raid weapons.

Forever Evil (2013-) 004-016

Before exchanges of unpleasantries happen, a Power Ring-led hit squad enters the scene.

Forever Evil (2013-) 004-018

During the battle, Batman goes with the mantra "Fight Fire With Fire"

Forever Evil (2013-) 004-019

Forever Evil (2013-) 004-020

Yep for a brief period of time, Batman once again becomes a member of the Sinestro Corps. He sucks at ring-slinging though.

And then Sinestro officially enters the battle for Earth.

Forever Evil # 2 Spoilers

All the interesting things from this month's FOREVER EVIL # 2 by Geoff Johns and David Finch.

Here we go.

1. OTIS from Superman the Movie makes a cameo

Forever Evil

Johns is really a Donner fanboy. He's so much the fanboy that he stuck in Gene Hackman Lex Luthor's bumbling sidekick from the Donner "Superman the Movie" and made him a legit character.

2. The Teen Titans are back in San Francisco

Forever Evil

Last I checked the Titans were living in a boat that was docked in New York. So now that Johns is writing the Teen Titans again, did he just transplant the young heroes to their original habitat? I want that. So many mistakes DC's done over the past two years and here's me hoping that the Teen Titans get the Titans Tower again in San Francisco.

3. Power Ring is sick...

Forever Evil

Figuratively and literally. He needs Deathstorm (which lets assume is an evil Earth 3 version of Professor Stein) to keep whatever the hell infection at bay while doing his jome with the Crime Syndicate.

4. So many Earth 3 Questions

Forever Evil

Who is the masked man? What did he do? How did he betray the team? What is this creature the Syndicate's so afraid of? A bigger threat or next year's main villain?

5. Classic Love Triangle

Forever Evil

Johns takes the classic Superwoman is married to Ultraman but is in love with Owlman and turns it sideways by giving Superwoman a baby to care for and conceal. It's not Ultraman's kid too, it's Thomas Wayne Jr.'s...

Guess we need to call in Maury down the line.

6. Earth 3 Dick Grayson

Forever Evil

Wayne and Alfred of Earth 3 are fixated with Nightwing aka Dick Grayson. We read snippets of Dick's Earth 3 counterpart and now we pan our attention to the topic once more. Could they have brought alone the good-evil version of Nightwing?

7. The Real Bizarro

Forever Evil

Cool! The real, honest-to-goodness Bizarro is here. Whether that's cool or not, it's really up to you.

8. Goodbye Otis

Forever Evil

Thank god Lex Luthor had Bizarro kill Otis. Thank you!

9. Johnny Quick versus Kid Flash

Forever Evil

Always wanted to see these two fight. And now that I did, I can definitely say that Bart needs a lot of training.

10. Titans Lost in Time

Forever Evil

Similar to that Teent Titans and Legion of Superheroes crossover that Geoff Johns did years ago, the writer has sent the teens to parts unknown thanks to the Speed Force in Bart's veins. This should be interesting. SHOULD.

11. Luthor Gears Up. Needs Kord's Tech

Forever Evil

Luthor explains that he needed something from Kord Industries but he's willing to set that aside in order to fight Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate together with Bizarro.

Forever Evil

12. Batman and Catwoman survived

Forever Evil

And they brought along Victor Stone who incurred massive damage when Grid appeared out of nowhere.

Kinda slow if you ask me. Still plan on reading this through although I'm already seeing some cracks in the armor so to speak...

FOREVER EVIL # 1 SPOILERS

Posting major spoilers for DC Comics' FOREVER EVIL # 1 by Geoff Johns and David Finch.

In this issue Lex Luthor tries to blackmail somebody but his chopper crashes. His intended prey dies at the hands of Ultraman. In Gotham, Nightwing attempts to deliver Zsasz to Arkham but he is beaten and abducted. We also find out in this issue that Green Kryptonite makes Ultraman strong. He takes it by inhalation too which is very creepy.

During the four page spread featuring most of the DCU New 52 Villains, the Crime Syndicate proudly announces this:

Sadly, not everybody is happy with the change in the status quo. This includes Captain Cold and the Rogues as well as C-Lister The Monocle...

... and which he dies for.

While being broadcast around the world, the Crime Syndicate also reveals Nightwing's secret identity...

Yes, DC definitely pulled a Civil War level unmasking... Wonder how the former Boy Wonder can bounce back from this.

If there's any consolation from the things that have been depicted here in FOREVER EVIL # 1 it's the fact that there's an inherent weakness to Ultraman and that is that he gets easily hurt by Earth 1's yellow sun, prompting him to take action...

Kinda campy to see Lex Luthor utter "This looks like a job for Superman". Also if you didn't read between the line, Luthor will be leading his team of villains to fight the Crime Syndicate due to his ego being stepped on by Ultraman who shrugged him off during the early parts of issue 1.

The story was OK but the art plays between hit and miss. Some characters just sucked when being drawn by artists like Finch.

FOREVER EVIL # 1 Preview

And now sharing the preview for FOREVER EVIL # 1 by Geoff Johns and David Finch

i like that this is going to be the story of the bad guys joining up and becoming a cohesive fighting unit in the absence of the three Justice League teams. One question though, what happens to the other non-JL/JLA/JLD heroes? Where's STORMWATCH while this is all happening?

Maybe we'll find out next week. Oh and the art is stil "meh".

Another FOREVER EVIL - NIGHTWING Rumor from BC

Bleedingcool  [LINK] is insinuating a new rumor related to DC Comics' FOREVER EVIL and NIGHTWING's fate in that book by Geoff Johns and David Finch.

So what happens in this new rumor???

Well according to Bleedingcool article, Grayson could be captured by the CSA (Crime Syndicate of America) and then at a later time, he will be forced to reveal his identity to the rest of the world through Superwoman's 'Lasso of Truth'.

I still like the old rumor/ speculation that he will be beaten till an inch of his life by the now revealed CSA including Bruce Wayne's alternate Earth version, Owlman..

We don't have to wait that long because Forever Evil starts the first week of September.

DC Confirms Crime Syndicate Involvement in FOREVER EVIL and TRINITY WAR

The rumors were true. The Crime Syndicate will be the main opponents for Geoff John's "FOREVER EVIL" as well as key figures in the ongoing TRINITY WAR.

You can check out the interview IGN posted with series writer Geoff Johns to learn more about this new development. Also one other interesting bit here is the addition of a new member for the CSA (Crime Syndicate of Amerika) in the form of DEATHSTORM which is that reality's version of the heroic FIRESTORM.

Check out the entire teaser below:

Forever Evil teaser CSA

So maybe they really did replace Superman... Interesting. Very interesting.

DC Planning to Hurt Nightwing in Forever Evil

Nightwing aka Dick Grayson may have dodged a major bullet back in "Infinite Crisis" thanks to fan support after news broke that Dan Didio wants to off the original Robin; but it looks like the character is in once again for September's Forever Evil event.

Nightwing Cover

Bleedingcool ran an article regarding how Nightwing will figure into the whole 'Villain Month' and how Dick would be one of the first few heroes that going to suffer badly from this new rising threat.

If this is true then I will seriously hate Didio for his unchecked hatred for Dick. Leave the guy alone Dan. Also this makes me wonder if the guy is either a Jason Todd fan or a Tim Drake one? So far, those two have been left untouched with no threat to their fictional life whatsoever.

DC Officially Announces Forever Evil Plus Tie-ins and More

As part of their annual gimmick every September, DC Comics has officially announced a new miniseries plus several tie-ins featuring the heavy hitting villains of the DC Universe and it's entitled "Forever Evil".

The miniseries will run for seven issues and will touch base with most of the New 52 characters including Teen Titans and Suicide Squad. Johns says that this event rises from the fall out between the three Justice League teams in Trinity War

Aside from the seven-issue miniseries, there's also a couple of tie-ins including a Rogue-centric story over with The Flash with Brian Buccellato and Patrick Zircher. And then there's also another set of issues featuring Batman's rogues entitled Forever Evil: Arkham War featuring Batman and Robin writer Peter Tomasi and Scot Eaton featuring an all-out brawl between Batman's rogues.

Finally there's a third, five-issue title entitled Forever Evil: A.R.G.U.S. which will chronicle Steve Trevor's investigation about his organization (you've got the freaking RED ROOM and BLACK ROOM and it's only now you decide to investigate?). This one will be written Matt Kindt who will also be taking the helm for Justice League of America. Meanwhile Johns will still be handling the main Justice League book.

Justice League of America Gearing Up

Here's a teaser for the upcoming New 52 book Justice League of America book which will be written by Geoff Johns with art by David Finch.

I wonder why they didn't include Steve Trevor in this teaser. Hmmmm. So If you still don't know who the members of Justice League of America are here's the rundown: Catwoman, Katana, Vibe, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Star Girl and Hawkman.

New 52 Batman versus New 52 Superman Spoilers

Batman - The Dark Knight # 5 hosts the first ever on-page battle between the New 52 version of Superman and Batman.

I was mildly interested with this book when it came out but it seems like with the way things are going in terms of writing done by Paul Jenkins plus the art of David Finch, I might want to add this book to my "guilty pleasure" list together with Teen Titans.
