DC Comics has done again. As announced over the DC panel in NYCC, writer Scott Lobdell is going to kill off the existing Conner Kent-esque Superboy to be replaced by a different Superman clone.
According to Lobdell, the current Superboy has been written as dying in a sacrifice play when him, Superman and Supergirl fight the nefarious H'el in an upcoming storyline (which is probably the 'return to Krypton' arc).
To add insult to injury (in my POV anyway), Lobdell was quoted saying that the Kon-El will be replaced by a new Superboy which first appeared at Superboy # 19. And get this, the new clone/Superboy is a now a hybrid of Superman and Lois Lane as opposed to the classic pairing of Lex Luthor and Superman.
Sigh. DC, DC, DC. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Forever Evil # 2 Spoilers
All the interesting things from this month's FOREVER EVIL # 2 by Geoff Johns and David Finch.
Here we go.
1. OTIS from Superman the Movie makes a cameo
Johns is really a Donner fanboy. He's so much the fanboy that he stuck in Gene Hackman Lex Luthor's bumbling sidekick from the Donner "Superman the Movie" and made him a legit character.
2. The Teen Titans are back in San Francisco
Last I checked the Titans were living in a boat that was docked in New York. So now that Johns is writing the Teen Titans again, did he just transplant the young heroes to their original habitat? I want that. So many mistakes DC's done over the past two years and here's me hoping that the Teen Titans get the Titans Tower again in San Francisco.
3. Power Ring is sick...
Figuratively and literally. He needs Deathstorm (which lets assume is an evil Earth 3 version of Professor Stein) to keep whatever the hell infection at bay while doing his jome with the Crime Syndicate.
4. So many Earth 3 Questions
Who is the masked man? What did he do? How did he betray the team? What is this creature the Syndicate's so afraid of? A bigger threat or next year's main villain?
5. Classic Love Triangle
Johns takes the classic Superwoman is married to Ultraman but is in love with Owlman and turns it sideways by giving Superwoman a baby to care for and conceal. It's not Ultraman's kid too, it's Thomas Wayne Jr.'s...
Guess we need to call in Maury down the line.
6. Earth 3 Dick Grayson
Wayne and Alfred of Earth 3 are fixated with Nightwing aka Dick Grayson. We read snippets of Dick's Earth 3 counterpart and now we pan our attention to the topic once more. Could they have brought alone the good-evil version of Nightwing?
7. The Real Bizarro
Cool! The real, honest-to-goodness Bizarro is here. Whether that's cool or not, it's really up to you.
8. Goodbye Otis
Thank god Lex Luthor had Bizarro kill Otis. Thank you!
9. Johnny Quick versus Kid Flash

Always wanted to see these two fight. And now that I did, I can definitely say that Bart needs a lot of training.
10. Titans Lost in Time

Similar to that Teent Titans and Legion of Superheroes crossover that Geoff Johns did years ago, the writer has sent the teens to parts unknown thanks to the Speed Force in Bart's veins. This should be interesting. SHOULD.
11. Luthor Gears Up. Needs Kord's Tech
Luthor explains that he needed something from Kord Industries but he's willing to set that aside in order to fight Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate together with Bizarro.
12. Batman and Catwoman survived
And they brought along Victor Stone who incurred massive damage when Grid appeared out of nowhere.
Kinda slow if you ask me. Still plan on reading this through although I'm already seeing some cracks in the armor so to speak...

Great Panels and Pages from Nightwing # 0
Nightwing # 0 was released this week and while it might have failed in some aspects of Robin's life it did have a few strengths. I'd like to take the time and show some great moments for the character. This issue is written by Tom DeFalco, Kyle Higgins with art by Eddy Barrows.
In this new world it's still Tony Zucco who's responsible for the death of Dick's parents. It still happens in Haly's Circus with the only difference is that this time Dick was already been sold to the Court of Owls as the newest Talon.
The murder changes that and forces Haly to give Dick's friend Raymond to the Court to be a replacement Talon.

Spoilers for Young Justice Invasion S2E1 - Happy New Year
Here's a new segment on my blog - spoilers for the TV shows/ animated shows I am currently watching. This post/ review will focus on YOUNG JUSTICE now rebranded as Young Justice Invasion. Young Justice S2E1 is entitled "Happy New Year" and here are a few surprises from this TV show.
At this point in the episode we also find out that it has been five years since the end of Young Justice S1E26 (Auld Acquaintances)...
That might be a big shock for you guys and gals but that certainly isn't the end of the shocks and twists. In the first few minutes we hear Superboy talking to Dick Grayson/ Robin. Turns out he's "graduated" already...
Mind you he's still the leader of the team and its still not being called Teen Titans. We meet Dick Grayson training with new member Lagoon Boy; who also happens to be Miss Martian's new boyfriend.
Sooo, what happened within the last five years? Last I checked, Supes and Megann ended Season 1 with a kiss. So why is she now hooking up with someone else? I guess, this is another thing that kinda keeps me hooked to these "kids shows".
Moving on, we get also get to see the main man himself, Lobo wreaking havoc in the UN headquarters...
He's hot on the heels of a delegate and gets quickly foiled by the team's Beta Team consisting of Wonder Girl...
... and Batgirl...
As cool as their first appearance in the new season, Lobo manages to get away with his bounty which is apparently a small alien operating the Chinese delegate.
Oh and this was an awesome moment - Cassie punching Lobo so hard that it sends shockwaves throughout the building.
Back in the Justice League watchtower, the leaguers discuss this new threat. We get to meet Adam Strange who debuts in the episode sans his trademark jetpack and laser gun...
Strange (a) tells his "origin" story (b) informs of an alien invasion (c) connects it to the missing sixteen hours six leaguers lost at the end of season 1 including Batman.
The covert team goes on and organizes their attack at different Krolotean strongholds. Dick goes and assigns Tim to lead the Gamma team which includes Lagoon Boy and Blue Beetle.
Upon hitting their target things go from bad to worse and the team was forced to battle the tiny aliens and save the hostages in the process. During this episode's fight scene, we get to see Tim bring out his now classic bo staff.
The team barely makes it out alive and witness the descent of the combined might of the Justice League together with their Titans team mates. The scene was reminiscent of the appearance of the league at the end of S1E1.

Oh yeah. Now I'm currently setting up to watch the Young Justice S2E2 - Earthlings
So here's what you missed:
- We catch the team in a capture mission. Miss Martian and Superboy face off against Clayface...
- It might seem like a standard mission but things are a bit different in the first few minutes. Heck Connor Kent aka Superboy is now wearing biker gloves to make him more bad-ass. Miss Martian now sports a shorter hair.
(Whatever they did, I'm liking the new animation. Everything in this new season looks effin' AWESOME!)
- Superboy gets a big time save thanks to the team's new Robin - Tim Drake...

| When you first see him, you really have to assume that its still Dick Grayson but in a few minutes we find out that its Tim. |
- This team also has Beast Boy and Blue Beetle in their roster...

Red Hood and the Outlaws # 6 Spoilers Clears Things About Starfire and Jason Todd
Scott Lobdell was not joking when he said that we were only seeing the tip of the iceberg for the new, revamped Starfire and Red Hood for the book "Red Hood and the Outlaws" and RATO# 6 nails that point perfectly.
Find out about these two after the cut.

Easter Eggs and Stuff You Might Have Missed in Justice League # 4
Here are some of the things that you might not have seen or missed out when you read "Justice League" by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee.
Oh and since I'm tired of posting the Jim Lee cover, here's the variant cover done by Andy Kubert...
