Jay Tablante yesterday shared his latest opus, the completed cosplay shoot featuring actress Carla Abellana as Jean Grey/ Phoenix.

That makes it three for three, as he's done two other Phoenixes in the past (including one with Alodia Gosiengfiao as the White Phoenix of the Crown).

Jinri Park suddenly goes from being the sweet and bubbly koreana DJ to a full blown femme fatale when she channels Lupin III's main squeeze Fujiko Mine for one of photographer Jay Tablante's cosplay shoots.

In this week's issue of UNCANNY X-MEN # 19 by Kieron Gillen and Dale Eaglesham we get to see the first Phoenix Jean Grey give her reaction to Scott's recent craziness.

Marvel Now is Happening with Jean Grey and the Uncanny Avengers

News broke out today that Marvel is indeed pushing through with their "soft reboot" after AvX (Avengers vs X-Men). This was of course confirmed with a new image of one of the books coming out entitled "Uncanny Avengers".

Avengers vs X-Men # 5 - Five Mutants Become the Phoenix

Marvel wasn't kidding when they showed the cover for AvX # 5 featuring three central characters becoming a host for the Phoenix.

We left the AvX # 4 with a handful of X-Men and Avengers getting ready for another battle with Hope Summers and Wolverine getting caught in the middle.

This time its all out war in the blue area of the moon with the fate of young Hope and the rest of the world in the balance. Meanwhile Iron Man and Giant Man work on a new armor that might turn help slow down the Phoenix's descent to Earth.

I loved that the book still showed a lot of gorgeous battles while at the same time moving the story nicely along. See what I mean? Don't let Bendis write the book if you don't want a book filled with talking heads and a dragging pace.
