PREVIEWS - More Batman Figures including New 52 Greg Capullo and Son of Batman Figs

Toy Fair is in full swing and the said event showcased a lot of new DC Collectibles figures including a wave dedicated to the New 52 Batman series based on the designs of Batman artist Greg Capullo...

And it's not just limited to the heroes as there are now villains added to the list including Mr. Freeze (above) and Red Hood 1 (below)...

They also have Batman in his battle armor as seen in the Night of the Owls storyline...

That was in Batman # 9 mind you...

DC will also release the generic Batgirl and Nightwing figure for their ever-expanding New 52 figures. (below)

If you're a fan of DC Comics' animation line, then you'll also be pleased to know that DC Collectibles will be coming out with a pair of DC animated related stuff. There's Batman from Justice League: War

... and a weird looking Robin based on his appearance in the upcoming Son of Batman animated film.

Figures will come out within the year I'm told.

Arrow Action Figures Coming Soon from DC Collectibles

Gotta love the folks at DC Collectibles for actually listening and giving us what we want case in point, this nice two-pack featuring Oliver Queen/ Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Deathstroke.

Sad though that this is "island" Deathstroke and not Deathstroke from Arrow Season 2. Also you really can tell that the pack is a bit dated because the figure is still using the face paint/ war paint. Still its a nice addition to your Toy shelf.

The pack is already out and retails for give or take $50 from the WBShop.

Clayface from Arkham City is the Next DC Collectibles Deluxe Fig

They just keep growing and growing. First they had Killer Croc, then Titan Joker and Solomon Grundy and now Clayface from the game Batman: Arkham City.

This the New 52 NIGHTWING Action Figure

Here's a complete look at the figure that'll be shipping out real soon.

Based on the designs from the best-selling artist of Batman, Greg Capullo, comes this Nightwing action figure! This DC Comics Designer Series 1 action figure features Nightwing in his New 52 red and black outfit. Nightwing stands 6 3/4-inches tall in comes in a blister card packaging.

Seriously this figure sucks. It looks like somebody gave Jose Rizal a domino mask (not that that's a bad idea, it's actually pretty cool if you ask me). It's just off-putting.

Still, you should pick this up if you're a completist. Me, I'll just say pass on this one. The Batman figure though, whew. 

Order DC Comics Designer Series 1 Nightwing by Greg Capullo Figure from Entertainment Earth!

The Identity of the New Earth 2 Batman is...

apparently someone very familiar to comic book readers as his name's been active within the Batman mythos for decades...

Apparently the man under the Batman's cowl is none other than Thomas Wayne. Comicbook.com broke the news after DC Comics made an 'allegedly' spoilery announcement on their Twitter account promoting the upcoming DC Collectibles' Earth 2 wave of action figures.

Looking at this post's header page, I seem to be in agreement with this spoiler/rumor. This Batman looks furious, he's got red eyes, which has become a trademark for the Thomas Wayne Sr. version of the Batman from Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert's FLASHPOINT book. 

Plus he's also fond of using what seems to be wrist-based 'guns' or launchers. Of course, we really have to take this news bit with a grain of salt as the mystery is still being unveiled in the pages of Earth 2.

Could it be that the Flashpoint version of Thomas Wayne has been 'ported to the Earth 2 Universe after the cataclysmic events of FLASHPOINT??

More Details for DC Collectibles Crime Syndicate Action Figures

DC Collectibles has released added information regarding their upcoming CRIME SYNDICATE wave of Action Figures based on these baddies appearance on FOREVER EVIL. 

Personally though after seeing what they'll look like, I'm kinda NOT getting this. Perhaps just Owlman to add to the growing Batman collection but other than that I might pass. I guess the design plus the translation to figure just ruined it for me. Check out the other photos below:









Also I notice that they didn't include DEATHSTORM in the list of figures they've crafted. Here's the tentative release date for these figures:

Again it's nice to have DC revisit some of their old stuff. With the whole New 52 vibe going off, it's a whiff of nostalgia. Plus it's an iconic moment from HUSH (which has polarized fan opinion).

TNI released three new photos for upcoming SWAMP THING action figure from DC Collectibles.

DC is kicking Marvel's ass when it comes to the sheer size of the figures they're coming up with at the moment. There's the Darkseid figure, plus there's that upcoming Solomon Grundy figure from Batman: Arkham City and then this one; Alan Moore should be proud.

DC Collectibles to Unleash Deathstroke the Terminator Action Figure

One of the main adversary for the Teen Titans, Deathstroke the Terminator is set to be released as an action figure one more.

Obviously as early as now, there are automatically a couple of bashers who hates the New 52 look for Slade Wilson. We really can't do anything about that. Regardless of people's opinion on the costume, we still have to be ready for the release of this figure very soon. 

First Look at the DC Collectibles' Batman Arkham Origins Batman figure

Here's a quickie; it's actually the new Batman action figure from DC Collectibles in line with this year's Batman Arkham Origins game for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. 

Compared to the other two or more Batman figures that came out for Batman Arkham City and Batman Arkham Asylum, this one looks really great. Oh and cannot wait to get my hands on this figure as well:

DC Collectibles Coming Up with New 52 Joker

Mind you it's not just the conventional New 52 The Joker action figure. It's the creepy version from that awful "Death of the Family" story arc.

So yeah, forget the story and all those neat die-cast covers, the most important thing that Death of the Family has given us fans is this scary new look for Joker which conveniently carries over to the upcoming action figure. I'm trying to find more details about this figure but nothing's coming up.

DC COLLECTIBLES TO RELEASE JUSTICE LEAGUE BOXSET PLUS MORE GREEN ARROW

The good folks at DC Collectibles will be releasing a complete boxset of action figures from the New 52 Justice League plus our first look at the New 52 Green Arrow.

IMHO this is going to be interesting especially since there's a big demand for these figures. This of course is part of the "We Can Be Heroes" initiative that DC Comics launched a few months ago.

Another sweet addition to these boxed set is the Jim Lee inspired Green Arrow. I don't know about you guys but I certainly love this wave of figures. Now bring out guys like the Atom and Hawkman!

DC Collectibles has revealed the third wave of figures which was derived from the video game "Batman Arkham City".

The Modern Green Lantern Sinestro Statue Spells COOL

DC Direct has a sure winner with this cool looking statue featuring the modern day / New 52 Green Lantern Sinestro from the current volume of "Green Lantern" written by Geoff Johns and Doug Mahnke.

This definitely made me want to go and pick up the still-available Green Lantern Sinestro action figure. In fact, I just might together with the Red Lantern Guy Lantern.

Will do a review for this when it comes out. Also a note to Filipino fanboys out there, this might set you back for around Php 3,000.
